Better than Romney? You do know that there are more than two political parties in the United States.

    2. Because he was a better candidate than Romney. A good many simply aren't ready or willing to hand the keys back to the GOP.

Beshear is 50-29 favorable with 16 neutral and 5 never heard of--that last number bothers me.
    33-35-41 for Obama-McConnell-Paul--favorable in KY.
37-16 for direction of KY over the USA as for positive.

You're right, it's not my business, any more than it was your business questioning the voting of those in Rocketman's state. But this is a debate site, so questions get asked - some get answered, some don't.

I agree, Obama was a better "candidate" - he's certainly not a better President - I refuse to believe a competent man like Romney could ever be anywhere near the disaster Obama is as President.

No ****, sherlock. I voted third party in 2012. However, there are only two parties that have any realistic chance of winning. Third-party candidates carried less than 2% of the vote.

My "questioning the voting of those in Rocketman's state" was to point out that Rocketman doesn't know what he's talking about.

    1. I don't think Obama's that good. I also don't think he's a disaster.
    2. I think Obama is a better president than Romney would have been.

So enlighten us, what positive reason could one have chosen to reelect Obama given all the evidence to the contrary?
We didn't have a disastrous negative GDP as the GOP did in 2008.
Obama hasn't started any more stupid, costly wars .

We all have our opinions - I can't think of a single politician who's run for the nomination or the office of President who could possibly have been worse than Obama.

We are a "UNITED" States of America thank you very much.
Though I would love to see Obama debate the "impeachers" like I$$A and Can'tor as you Canadian bros do.
Can'tor has only scheduled 112 days to work.
Maybe he and Obama could "debate" in the House .

Too bad Romney walked away from his positions.
    The TEAs stayed home.
Romney could not have worked with a do-less-than-nothing-House .

You would be absolutely right if I were trying to say or tell you how to run your country, which I was not. All I was doing was voicing my opinion that politicians on the national level should first and foremost battle out the differences with the ruling party by political means and not by lawsuits.

I would be voicing that same opinion if a democrat would have wanted to file a lawsuit against a republican president. If you cannot win your argument on political reasoning you should work and find more support for your points of view.

The lawsuit makes much more sense if it comes from a citizen who does not like to be spied upon rather than a politician who is member of the party that helped create the monster that the NSA has become (or might even be primarily responsible for it).

    1. the man presiding over the FISC court was appointed by Bush
    2. the whole wiretapping etc. started with the decisions made by the Bush presidency with the aid of the patriot act (also under Bush)
    3. the FISC court was created in 1978 but all subsequent laws regarding it have been created during the Bush presidency (USA patriot act, Protect American Act 2007 and the FISA amendement act of 2008). The Protect America Act was carried through mostly by republicans. And the current house and senate both voted to extend these laws until 2017

Paul might not like it but he has to look to his fellow republicans who have voted to keep this program active.
