Has the U.S.A. and China just agreed to be the next major world opponents ? Just to give us something to do ?
As for the "threat." China WILL pose a threat past the China sea. That is in their agenda. They cannot be trusted. I agree with the pentagon assessment, but I take their words with a grain of salt. They are fighting men. They are paid to consider dangers. The Soviet Union was a threat too right? Did we ever get into a shooting war? Not in the open.
The question you should be asking is not about navies. China would not be able to compete with the United States Navy. What you should ask...is would China risk nuclear war for a little bit of land? For communism? And would their people stand behind that? Would our politicians stand up against it?
It all comes down to nukes. Not ships.
The Crowd is not the sum of its parts.
And what is this that China can't be trusted. What does that mean. And how do you both agree with the Pentagons assessment and take it with a grain of salt?

China has a weapon that destroys a carrier with one shot.
Think if Trump get elected how much resistance he will face with in all phases of our country from people to military to politicians. He must not win.
