Politifact’s top four choices for this year’s biggest lies by a U.S. political figure all involved Obamacare, but it may surprise you who made No. 1.
President Obama’s repeated mantra that Americans could keep their health care plan of choice was bad enough, but it was worse when he modified the lie with a disclaimer, Politifact’s editor told CNN.
“What we said was you could keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed,” Obama said in November, earning Politifact’s “pants on fire” distinction.
