John Boehner On 113th Congress Being Least Productive Ever: 'We've Done Our Work'

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Tuesday dismissed the idea that this Congress is the least productive in history and said the House has done its job this year."The House has continued to listen to the American people and to focus on their concerns," Boehner told reporters. "Whether it's the economy, whether it's jobs, whether it's protecting the American people from Obamacare -- we've done our work."
Boehner said if anyone's to blame for congressional inaction, it's the Senate. He cited the fact that the House has passed more than half of the annual appropriations bills and the Senate hasn't passed any of them.
"The House continues to do its job," he said. "It's time for the Senate to get serious about doing theirs."

Yea Bohner... Youve done "your work" by not doing anything, and by being the most obstructive congress ever. Good job! Something to be real "proud" of.

So when Boehner cites that, "the fact that the House has passed more than half of the annual appropriations bills and the Senate hasn't passed any of them", you know differently? Show your stuff. And why aren't you going after Harry Reid who has been an absolute obstructionist in the senate. He won't even allow any bills not from dems to the floor.

I think your basic argument goes something like this:

When the House won't act on a Senate bill (when Boehner blocks it) it is obstructionist and just saying no; when the Senate won't act on a House bill (when Reid blocks it) then it is sticking to principle and protecting the interests of the American people.

You see the Senate has passed appropriation bills.

We may get nothing but that nothing required more taxation and a lot of national debt increase.

Reid has been pretty busy lately getting rid of GOP-ist obstruction with the filibuster .

Yeah, we need hundreds of new programs to insure that the poor live as well as the rich but without car elevators.

The tab will be picked up by the foolish middle-class.

National debt increases happen 'just on interest of the total accumulated debt alone'..
Did that come from Obama??How much of Obama's debt is due to interest on the total accumulated debt ?

the fact that that congress sets its own schedule and it is only in session for as little as 40 days is a bit odd considering that there are so many problems plauging our nation right now. you would think that such problems would require congress to spend more time trying to fix the problems?
