Yeah, that great and all, but I don't see why that would change my opinion.

I wasn't talking about enforced c-sections and, in Post 53, neither were you. People with bi-polar being sectioned is quite common; that is 'sectioned' i.e. taken into protective psychiatric custody, not 'c-sectioned' as in, delivered of a baby through surgical opening of the abdomen.

In the U.S. we already engage in morally questionable practices like involuntary institutional commitment of those who are deemed mentally ill, but nobody really gives a ****.
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

What would you perfer to do with them? I think Reagan closing down and doing away with most chronic mental health care in the country was criminal. In fact, that is where most of them ended up, in the criminal justice system.

I most certainly was, as was mak2. You just jumped into the middle of the conversation having no idea what it was about, apparently. What happened to gathering the facts?

This gets tedious. I was responding to Post 53, and only to Post 53.

    Post 53:

Mak3: Think for a minute, do you think it ever happens a pregnant woman goes off her meds and has psych issues? Does that sound even a little bit possible to you? Maybe?

You: No, I certainly do not. You, however, said it was a common occurrence.

What was a common occurrence? "A pregnant woman goes off her meds and has psych issues". No, you do not think it is a common occurrence.

What facts do you know understand? I am not giving you patient names. A person of normal intelligence could figure out the complications of pregnancy and mental health problems. If you cant handle the very simplest basic healthcare concepts getting into more complicated stuff would just be frustrating, for me.

We were talking about forced c-sections and his assertions that they happen all the time.
