There sure were a lot of murders depicted on that website you posted. Just as the violent crime rate for the city of Rochester seems to be ducking the decade long national trends and is double the average violent crime rate.

Or...did you mean JUST on that one street? Knowing nothing about the city (but having ready access to Google) it would appear that Genesee Street is where it is at for the shootings and such.

Just as lynching in the south are primarily a white on black crime this activity is primarily black on white.

A few exceptions do not change this.

Rochester certainly was bad for homicides a few years back; however, the rate has been trending sharply downward, in line with the national average.

Violent crime in the U.S. has been sharply decreasing for several years.

I posted a link that shows otherwise. Yes...some parts of the country are definitely trending downward. Rochesters violent crime spiked in 2006 but it shows steady increases. rochester-violent-crime.png

Absolutely. Back in the 60's, the white folks down around Houston would go "N***** Knockin'"

To this day, you will rarely see an African American walking down the street, in Texas, without turning around to see what is coming up from behind him.

I have noticed this in other states as well.

Murder down a total of three. Rape and other violent crime up three...hundred. Good thing property crimes dropped.

just my .02 If some of these people who are "just turning their lives around"/"good kids"/"hanging with the wrong people" start getting etch-e-sketched like clockwork...the trend might die down a bit.

Sorry, call me heartless, but if you have no problem walking up to someone and blasting them in the face for giggles, well, I think it's only appropriate that said individual gets wiped out of the gene pool proper before he reproduces. I'm not saying start executing people. Rather, if the knockout isn't successful, make sure it doesn't happen again ;)
