Rep. Trey Radel, a freshman Republican from Florida, was arrested on Oct. 29 for possession of cocaine in the District of Columbia, according to D.C. Superior Court documents.

So when did HE go and meet up with the mayor of Toronto?

But seriously, they should throw the book at him. He should be given a life sentence for plaigarism. He is stealing the Democrats' MO. LOL.

Article is here.

and who says the po-po only go after the black man for the drugs.......proof positive right here they be wrong.

Wow does that mess up his political future. Now he's going go thru all the hassles of switching parties.

The best defense is a good offense. LOL!

I wish we had a chart of dem vs. gop scumbagdrudgery. I think we would all find that scumbags, in general, have a tendancy to gravitate towards professional politics. Party-wise, I haven't been keeping score, but it seems to me to about a 4 to 1 ratio. Take your pick as to which party is 4 and which party is 1. Maybe we all have selective memories. I dunno.

I love CON deflection. In the first handful of CON spin posts we have the race card, and the Dem card played... :doh

Does look like the Rep got VIP treatment- delayed charges (he was busted on 29th Oct), no hauled in at the time of arrest. Po-po be nice to TP perps.

Randel doesn't need to change parties, Boehner is giving the coke head a free pass within the GOP 'big tent'. The GOP leader of the house isn't calling for Radel's resignation and says this drug crime is between Radel, his family, and constituents even though congressmen should be held to the highest standards.

Course Radel is taking the CON dodge on responsibility, he blames alcoholism and this is a good opportunity for him to seek treatment... :doh

What is funny to me is Radel co-sponsored a bill for mandatory mins for drug sentencing. He rode into Congress a TP backed politician, be interesting to see if they stay firm.

Should resign and run for Mayor of DC!

Black man would have his face in the concrete rather than given 3 weeks to come in.

In my opinion, he should be kicked out of Congress. He did not hold his office in "good behavior."

He should have gotten jail time, in my opinion. Probation is laughable.

Another sterling example of how power, money and fame can keep Americans out of the prison industrial complex.

The average ordinary man would be screwed. Felony charge, jail/prison time and fines galore.

The GOP House Leaders are disappointed at this deflection by their coke-head congressman away from PPACA..And the coke-head throws his recently-passed-away Mother under the bus bringing up her alcoholism..Cancerous Cantor leads Boehner around by his nose..
