Virginia girl found eating herself in cage in mobile home

This story literally makes me want to vomit. I simply can't fathom the depravity of a human mind that could subject anyone to this kind of torture, let alone a helpless child. The viciousness of my own thoughts when I looked at the photos of those monsters literally frightened me.

I have nothing to add. I'm typeless.
 
I don't give a damn if they were abused or not, broken or not.

People make choices.... they made theirs, and a child suffered horribly for it.

Though it doesn't begin to compensate for what the child went through, the parents now must pay the price for what they did.
 
I will go against the grain, here, and say that I do not think these things should be killed. Each should be put in a small cell with no human contact whatsoever and given enough food to keep them alive until such a time as they die.

No, they are human; they've done some inhuman things though. Still human in the end. Genetics typically doesn't change due to immoral actions.

The problem with revenge punishment is that you will also involve innocent life into the revenge killing. While it's easy to point a finger in this specific case and say they should get the death penalty, to actually give them the death penalty you're going to have to kill some innocents. Till we solve the problem of imperfect knowledge, I don't think that the lives of innocents are worth revenge.

If by some strange twist of fate they don't get the death penalty, or even worse get released, let me know and I'll meet you at their house to give them a house call. The last one they'll ever get.

These people shouldn't be allowed to take not one additional breath.

Nope, the very act of having this dynamic ensures the deaths of innocents. It's not worth it. Life in prison without parole does the job just fine.

You can't kill those without eliciting a system that will kill innocent life. We have not the benefit of perfect knowledge. Furthermore, there is no net benefit from killing them and it's more expensive.

In the end there is really no rational reason for the death penalty. The DP is an emotional argument and law should not be based on emotion.

And it gets worse. It also says. . .

Since VA is a conservative state (i. e. one where all money for child protective services is cut in favor of subsidies for corporations), both the girl and the baby boy will be placed in a foster home where they will be abused even further.

I am basing this on pure reason: some people are just six feet of stacked crap and their actions prove it.

And it is ONLY more expensive because of the long drawn out appeals process initiated by the convicted in the first place. That can be shortened considerably by allowing a special appeals attorney right at the initial trial in a capital case and then demanding that ALL appeals issues be filed and heard within a certain amount of time.

This shows that parenting is far too dangerous an activity to be left to the general population, so I think we should ban parents raising their own children. Only the government can be trusted with the task.
