The Truth about Navigators

Evening Middleground, no ****ing kidding going on and if you want to see who has really been deceived, look in a mirror.

This damn thing is worse than a train wreck filled with corruption and deceit. Some in the Republican party want to just let it implode on its own thinking it would be a political advantage to do so. I don't want to see more people get hurt by allowing this boondoggle to continue and would like to see it shut down before more people lose their coverage or risk having their privacy hacked. Even you.

Seems many were all for letting it implode about a month ago when Cruz was trying to do something about this ****up. Cruz was crucified for trying to stop the start of this program or trying to delay it. Now all of a sudden we care so much we're willing to save the Democrats from disaster. They wouldn't do the same I can tell you that. If it weren't for elections, the Left would support the thing 100% regardless of how screwed up it is. It is about winning politically, not solving problems. They are already implying the states are screwing this up, because this site was suppose to be just a "portal" to state exchanges, AND not meant to handle the web traffic. Sounds like a setup for failure, so single payer can be implemented. But there are Dem senators up for re-election in 2014 that are pushing Reid to do something. Some even considering teaming up with Republicans if Reid/Obama don't fix this. Frankly, at this point, I'm for beating the Democratic Party to death with this POS, because they voted it into law with a Democrat Congress (with tons of side deals) to ram collectivist healthcare down our throats. They had to bribe their own members to get this through, and now they want a break to help them get through an election. I say hell no! In fact this is one of the handful of issues that led to the creation of the Tea Party Movement, and the 2010 mid-term election results.
The Democrats have done two things related to this law that I consider cardinal sins, 1) created a law not in my view part of the federal duties under the Constitution, and 2) create a corrupt system based on this law that doesn't do any of the things this law was suppose to do. Roberts found this POS constitutional based on taxing power, and no other reason. Consequently it's justified as nothing more than a money grab, and has no other benefit whatsoever constitutionally.

Good morning American,

Yep those who stuck their necks out to fight this thing asking for repeal, defunding, delay were hammered for it in the media, from the left and the Republican establishment.

On a national level I whole heartedly agree with you let the Democrats own this one. But on a local level where I see people losing their insurance and seeing them strapped with higher premiums, I am urging that something be done immediately to stop it. I want this thing repealed. Not every citizen that is paying the price supported or voted for this mess. I don't much care for what is going on with new legislation that Sen. Upton (R) has offered. It doesn't address the real issues and gives the Democrats wiggle room to blame this failure on the insurance companies which is bogus.

I saw Rand Paul being interviewed last night and he stated that
every Senator knew that the mandates in the healthcare bill were going to cause millions of people to lose their insurance policies.
There was a debate over this in the Senate to change that part of the bill so it would not happen and the issue was brought to the floor for a vote. Every Democrat voted to keep things just the way they are with full knowledge this was going to happen. In other words the bill was designed to do just that. It's unfortunate there are a lot of voters who make political judgments on issues on 15 second sound-bites.

Not just the Senators, but maybe you heard about the Obama summit with Congresspeople where he replied to an Eric Cantor question that, yes, millions would lose what they have and then get new policies on his exchanges ... and that summit was in 2010 ... it was captured on video ... I can't understand why stuff like that wasn't known countrywide in October.

As for criticism of Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and the TP, if it wasn't for them, the Republicans wouldn't be so heavily associated with trying to stop Obamacare and the Democrat Party with trying to save it, Country be damned ... and that association will be a good thing.

This HAS to work that way. People have to be forced into participating with this debacle, otherwise it fails miserably. The rhetoric ahs gone from "you can keep your healthcare" to "hey...we were doing you a favor cancelling your healthcare". The administration apologista dont care that everyone was lied to, they care about protecting the legacy.

The House voted 40 times to repeal it. Harry has quite a few versions to select from.

I think it was before Obamacare was passed.

I found it.

U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Votes > Roll Call Vote

It was a straight party line vote.

Democrats voted down Republican's proposed resolution S.J.Res. 39 that was designed to insure folks got to keep their current coverage. It really shows the hypocrisy of those Democrats now proposing new fixes to the problem when they knew all along it was going to happen

No kidding. But here's the thing ... Obama is a relentless Leftist ideologue. They have no problem with lying to achieve a goal.
I'm sure he wishes he didn't have to ride over this speedbump but don't kid yourself ... he's content to keep going this way as long as in the end he will preside(nt) over this massive Government power grab.
As long as Obamacare gets a foothold it's a done deal forever and that's what he's going for ... as for general acceptance by citizens over time, think of it this way ... the way Obama does

It's the goal that matters ... a repeal would have to pass over his veto.

Right now Obama is gettinng plenty of blame for breaking his promise. And he needs to continue getting the blame, because he's an arrogant, lying, social justice-pushing bastard. I hope (as I've been lambasted in another thread for that) this is a total disaster, and goes down in his legacy as such. And I hope the American people learn a lesson from this, as an example of how not to maintain liberty or a constutitional govt. In reality, the Republicans will **** this up, and try to save the Democrats.

Sadly, we've seen this before so many times we can almost take it for granted. If the GOP actually stood their ground on this, I'd need to have a defib unit nearby.

Glad you found it Vesper......what I do sometimes is throw up certain links on my visitors pages. Especially with fact checkers too.

Feel free to use what I have. Most of mine is on Benghazi and Foreign Affairs issues. But I do have some for Sequester and other notables.

Yeah and now we see those same Democrats calling and filing legislation for people to keep their insurance. As done by Landrieu in the Senate.

Actually I'd like to see a group of Dem senators jerk Reid into the cloakroom, and beat the living snot out him.

Now. Now that there is this negative political fallout. They were warned. It was all good for them until their asses were put on the line. A month and a half ago, they refused to discuss it. Assholes.

Better to pool 10% of their campaign cash and funnel it to his primary opponent. These morons deserve to lose their reelection bids for voting for PPACA without reading/understanding it and for electing Reid as Senate majority leader.

Mornin' HB. :2wave: Yeah and someone was saying Landrieu's Bill is better than the Repubs. It's not.....as it may be doing the Right thing. But it will also give more in subsidies away. Which both know can't be down without bringing a tax.

Which is why Feinstein says she was going to co-sponsor Landrieu's Bill.. Feinstein don't know **** about economics. But she does know when to take the chance and go for some more free stuff.

I doubt he'll ever lose his seat. Reid and Pelosi are a true axis of evil.....I really think there is more hate and corruption in their two minds, than the rest of the government (including Obama).

Yep. I'd like to know exactly how the dems think they're going to get insurance companies to reverse cancellations. They may generate new policies, but they won't be the same as the cancelled ones. That points directly to the ACA again, and what is permissible coverage - so revision is on their table now. This mess can't be revised and survive unless they delay it. I would love to see Obama veto democrat legislation. That'd be hilarious. Feinstein is nothing but a dictatorial statist. These people are finally getting on my last nerve.

Some are claiming this thing will be repealed long before the 2014 elections. One can only hope. The sooner the better.

FORBES: ObamaCare Will Be Repealed Well In Advance Of The 2014 Elections - Fox Nation

I agree with this, up until the point where Obama has to sign the repeal. I suppose it could be defunded.

It will be a grand day if and when DemocratBarackObamacare is chunked in the scrap heap. I just hope the insurance companies have a strategy that day to re-absorb the folks in great need of coverage until meaningful and problem-specific legislation can be put in place that private insurance can worth with.

My hunch is when January 2014 gets here and more mandates go into effect is when those who currently get their insurance through their employers many will start to receive termination slips starting in December 2013 on their employer provided coverage forcing them onto subsidized exchange policies. That's when the sh!t is really going to hit the fan. By that time people will be so outraged and their representatives will know it. I don't think it would be a stretch at all at that point to find 2/3 of Congress willing to over-ride an Obama veto.

Well, and then those deductibles' prices will go up. Which then not getting any money from 18-26 years old is going to come into play too.

Then those opting out to pay the fine will look to hold off on paying that until no longer. Which half of them will have to be found. Being young and renting and moving in and out of states 3 or 4 times. Wont make it easy on those Feds. So more money they will be out of that Team Obama was counting on.

Oh hush, you're getting me too giddy. LOL

I just hope there isn't some magic ace up Obama's sleeve. My gut is that he doesn't understand and didn't read the thing, and therefore is getting caught flat-footed by the whole debacle. My fear is that this is part of a master strategy to muck up the system so badly, that's it's rendered irreversible, and he then forces single payer down our throats.

One things for sure, his legacy is this ill-conceived travesty, and he's stamping his ticket alongside the worst presidents in our history.

Obama and the ringleaders of this boondoggle knew exactly what they were designing and that was to force us onto single payer system but to gain support for Obamacare they couldn't sell it that way and had to use deceptive measures. But what was that famous line from Obama's preacher man Wright? "The chickens have come home to roost."

:agree: "it takes one to know one" probably applies here. Obama apparently recognized the same nasty traits, so he put them in charge of writing and getting Obamacare passed! We saw the supreme height of arrogance when Pelosi made her now infamously absurd statement about "passing it in order to know what was in it!" If I weren't living it, I wouldn't believe it! And she thought it was so cute that she was grinning when she said it! I really do dislike that woman! Really...

If it weren't for the misery this is causing millions of people, I'd be very happy watching how many Dems are now anxious about losing their jobs because they voted for this mess.....and I'm not usually a mean person. In this case, however, I'm willing to make an exception! :poke:

Greetings, American. :2wave:

Therein lies the beauty in this. This "master plan" to move us into a single payer system is off to such a rocky start, it might actually doom the single payer plan forever.

People on both sides are now genuinely scared of this guy, and the government. They trust nothing coming from him now.
