For the record, I would support the use of child molesters for ammunition testing and tissue damage certification.

I could care less what they do to sex offenders and I could care less about Texas.

Cruel and unusual are highly subjective.

I can't remember the topic but SCOTUS ruled something weird was OK because it was "usual".

Those who have physically harmed others, not only children, in a cruel and unusual ,sanner are up for grabs as far as I'm concerned. I mean DIRECT harm, not drug sales or fraud.

In some cases, prison is cruel. Stupidly, we refuse to use caning, or shaming as an alternative because the are "cruel and unusual". How stupid. There are viable alternatives to locking some people up for decades but we won't use them. What a silly policy.

I don't mind "rewarding" prisoners for extra contributions though. Bigger cells, better food, maybe early release (depending). Maybe a nicer prison like the Federal Golf Clubs for billionaires who get busted insider trading. Medical advances and better gold handicaps! I'm a genius

This article is a joke. Note the wording of "costs millions to persecute..." and other clues about how these "scum" are described.

That aside, it would be likely be possible to get prisoner volunteers to do this. I doubt that anyone would take the risk of these folks escaping but the prison situation, if left in general population, for sex offenders is not good. I would imagine that using non-violent prisoners as volunteers, perhaps in exchange for added "good time" towards their parole date would be possible.

You can exploit the desperate just fine and have them volunteer for it. Your so called excuse runs counter to the consensus on the topic, but even if it didn't, that is still no excuse to exploit prisoners.

Man so many places to go on this one. I would support legitimate verifiable medical research I would not support psychological testing, nor would I pin any policy decisions on the results of psychological conclusions. Hell if I had it my way I wouldn't even allow psychological expert testimony in a court of law. It's that speculative and unscientific.

    support it? no
use it as an option? yes

personally i support the death penalty be extended to these types of offenders more often and instead of death or life id be ok with this being an option i guess.

Be awesome to bring back public stoning and castration for these monsters though

Hmmm...if its to solely study the psychology of sexual predators....might be a good idea.
