A new Gallup poll brings more terrible news for President Obama and his signature health plan. Only 22% of uninsured Americans intend to buy insurance through the ObamaCare exchanges.

One of the major selling points for using ObamaCare to disrupt our health care system (that polls showed up to 80% of Americans were satisfied with), was to insure the uninsured. But according to this poll, only a very small minority of that small minority is even interested in being insured.

Even more troubling is when you realize that a month ago, that number was double. A full 44% of the uninsured said they would purchase insurance though the exchanges.

Poll: 78% Of Uninsured Not Interested In ObamaCare

Seems like Americans found out what is inside Obamakare and don't want anything to do with it.

ARE YOU LISTENING OBAMA?
Of course not. That was another in a long, long string of lies.

This is one thing that Obama is not going to escape blame for. It's got his name written all over it and people are pointing directly at him.

That is why his popularity rating is going down so fast and will only continue to do so. Pretty soon the other liberals will start disowning Obamacare and suddenly it will be a mad dash for the door.

Then what happens? We could revert to our old system, you know the most expensive one in the world with mediocre results at best, with millions uninsured, the system that is the largest source of bankruptcy in the cournty. Boy, wont that make us the winners?

with mediocre results at best,
:naughty
Wow! :doh
Why are you espousing the opinion of a low information voter?

That simply isn't true.

with millions uninsured,
Mostly by choice.
Nor is insurance necessary.
Not only that but you are not entitled to another's efforts or product.

Then what happens? We could revert to our old system,
Hopefully, yes!

Boy, wont that make us the winners?
Why yes it would.

The United States' healthcare system is ranked 38th best in the world by the WHO. Not much to show for what we spend.

Not only that but you are not entitled to another's efforts or product.

That mindset is the reason why we have a horrible healthcare system.

So they will freeload off the system?

Obama has done an incredibly poor job of explaining the plan. WTF is Joe Biden doing anyway? Most presidents give their VP something to do but Biden seems to be doing nothing but collecting his government check.

Actually thats not the reason at all. People not taking personal responsibility for themselves and the government regulating incorrectly is the reason.

Would YOU want Biden speaking if you were the President? lol. No friggin way. I'd lock that dude away at Camp David and tell him to play golf until 2016.

It doesn't surprise me that most don't want it.

The next step is to force people to take it by law.

Oh wait...

"We are too deep in this to turn back now."

(Oops, sorry, I thought this was a thread about the Vietnam War.)

Huh - anyone remember precisely what the CBO estimates on this were? As I recall, they had about 2/3rds of uninsured signing up.

This is what I have the biggest issue with as it relates to the Affordable Care Act. On the one hand, we have millions of uninsured people in this country. On the other (ACA), even if all is implemented sans glitches, there will still be millions of Americans uninsured.

That the law will not accomplish it's sole intention (as written, anyway) is all that needs to be said about it.

Two Shoot Joe has been laying low. He was at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier today. Who else could 'splain the ACA better than Biden. I don't know of a living soul with the command of the program and the language that can touch him. I say it's time to activate the Two Shoot.

Wait, but I thought Obamacare was Godsend? You know, an answer to millions of Americans prayers.

I'm glad that 78% of the uninsured are uninterested in Obamacare though. Not because it makes Obamacare, the President and his administration look bad, but because it is Unconstitutional and the privacy concerns are worrisome.

Do you honestly believe that Obamacare solves any of the problems you list here?

No, in fact it makes them worse. It takes people who have no need or desire for insurance and forces them to do it whether they want to or not. Then it takes people who were doing fine and jacks up their premiums and deductibles to the point that they are required by law to have insurance, but can't afford to actually use it. It's a disaster and just getting worse.

Intesting poll, but I would like to see another one after the exchanges are up and running. If Gallup is right, they are usually in the ball park, having 1 in 4 or 25% of all uninsured deciding to pay the fine instead of getting the mandatory insurance probably will put a crimp as to funding the ACA, expect to pay higher premiums because of it. Now it says 22% are planning on getting the insurance, so what are the other half going to do? The ones who have not made up their minds. All I can say is, interesting.

Compared to Obamacare? YOU BET!!!

So don't buy insurance on the exchange. Nobody is forcing you.

But why deny other people the choice? It's not like the insurance exchange has any magical effects on how health insurance works, making your health plan any better or any worse. Or any more or less expensive, for that matter.

Pretty obvious that people are taking that sound advice.

As we all know, however, stronger force will have to come later. Even the most harebrained of Liberal ideas cannot be allowed to publicly fail.

So young people don't want to buy insurance? you see what is coming up here......

You cant REALLY blame Obama for this. You have to blame the blind foolish supporters of this debacle. They chanted and demonstrated on how much they wanted to see this passed. And then when it was passed they looked at it and said...huh. Dammit. We STILL have to actually PAY for something? **** THAT!!! I'll just take the penalty...its not liek they can actually collect it from me anyway.

Blame the handout set. They are currently uninsured for a REASON.
