Yes, you are certainly correct. I do feel however that at the time, (while the reasons they gave are pretty lame) had they made efforts to curb the tide, there would have been violence. THey should shoulder consequences as well.

again, someone speaking from ignorance: many stores, even other walmarts, put a stop and/or limited EBT sales

yet there were no riots. The closest example was a store that had to shut down, but didn't even experiance any theft during the ordeal/ So the evidence actually indicates that no riots were likely. But even if they did occur, we have already well established means for dealing with such people. So trying to cast walmart as the victim, based on such an unlikely event, hardly makes sense

I did not intend to cast walmart as victim. If it sounded that way, I was obviously unclear. Mea Culpa
