So are you saying that, say, someone can go on Twitter and talk **** about their employer and be legally protected from any repercussions from said employer? You'd be wrong.

If an employee's speech or expression is something the company doesn't feel represents its values, the company can choose to disassociate from that person, or provide further conditions to their continued association.

You also seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of what freedom of speech actually means.
Freedom of speech is not freedom from criticism.

Except they do. If it turns into company policy to not wear certain clothing during work hours or during work functions, guess what skippy, you don't get the right to anything else other than approved clothing.

Why is it whenever a Democrat is remotely involved, you folks shrink away from private market thinking in the private market, and shirk from personal responsibility and good work habits?

Ah, so you support the government infringing on the rights of businesses to discriminate?

In this case, it was a costume party.

What's next? Your boss is going to tell you how to vote?

No no, don't be silly. We have secret ballots now. Can't do that anymore.

Freedom of speech means that you can express an opinion without fear of repercussions. I wouldn't expect a Libbo to appreciate the concept of free speech.

You would be ok if your boss forbade you from putting your Obama/Biden sign in your front yard?

Of course you boss can intimidate you into voting for a certain candidate. It's a private company and they can violate your civil rights however they choose. You just said so.

We were not talking about voting, guy. I was being sarcastic with you about the vote. Furthermore, clothing is well within their legal boundaries to regulate. You ought to know this, or perhaps you think it somehow goes out the window if it can spell opportunity to trash a Democrat? Lastly, you had no qualms with the concept of intimidating employees a year ago:

His employees should be afraid for their jobs, because an Obama victory might cost them just that.

I suppose it's different though, because the man was obviously talking about the negative impact from a Democrat President being re-elected.
