I suppose if you are in the "his job is to get me more free stuff" category, then you might see him differently than if you think your representative's job is to "keep me having to pay for other people's free stuff" category. There is no correct worldview.

We keep hearing from the GOP they have a plan..
    Boehner says ask Paul Ryan..
Paul Ryan has lived off the government TEAt his entire life .
You should find Ryan to be a great example for ppl then. I dont much care for him. The GOP has offered alternatives, but most of thosevare free market based, tort reform appoaches. Not massive regations, edifts, wealth transfers. The fundemenatal issue here is that one side thinks proactive government intervention is the only answer, the other believes otherwise. Personally, im leery of anything that dictates people choices.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Ryan is the wonky brains behind the Cantor coup since Nov. 2008..

I have seen no Repub plans, and if they had any, I'm sure we would have seen them in October..

One hunderd percent statements are never true, one way or the other, and account for today's dysfunction..

Considering state's rights abuses across the board in red states that dictate people's choices, I'll take fed intervention..
Especially when Female Federal Judges in Texas can't vote after 52 years..Just the tip of the anti-voting iceberg .

Can't say that any Congressman where I lived has represented my interests, including the one I worked for (though technically I was not living back in my district at the time I was working for him).

I'll take my Repub Congressman as he works his way up the ranks..
He's inherited most of Hastert's staff from when he was Speaker..
As soon as he supported bombing Assad, which I supported, he picked up a TEAparty primary..
Are we back to one-issue voting??
I'm still watching the at least four RINOparty primaries, especially against Amash .

Yep and the One-Issue is "Are you a democrat or a republican?" with most voters in most places.

Here in Illinois, we still have a little bit of respect for the better man, as shown by the election of Sen. Kirk for President Obama's old seat..
Much as Manchin acts like a Republican, Kirk often sides with Democrats, blunting the anti-Repub effect for his 2016 reelection..
Kirk also has the SD Sen. Johnson-stroke effect going for him, which helped reelect Johnson for the last time in 2008 .

Cruz said he doesn't work for the party bosses, he works for his constituents. He's popular at home. Standing on principle is difficult for politicians because representing the special interests is where the money comes from. We need more representatives like Cruz and Lee who work for the people and not the lobbiests. I wish there was a democrat I could say the same thing about.
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury." Attributed to Alexander Tytler
