Yeah, I know. The administration has tacitly admitted they perhaps didn't hire the best and the brightest in that they now claim they've brought in the heavy hitters to fix things up a bit. I do wish that when I was in the construction business I could've taken jobs, screwed them up royally, and been paid anyway - then let the client hire someone else to come in and clean up the mess for me. It's great work if you can get it, apparently.

... and ... even if you did screw up royally it's no problem as long as you showed a nice return to your employer at campaign time.
And the beauty part is that your employer isn't using his/her own money.
What could be better?

I guess if you missed the opportunity to start up a solar enterprise or make some smoking batteries in the first term, all hope for a windfall was not lost as there is a second term and all the attendant possibilities to consider. This cow has endless milk.

If that contract was awarded over better qualified (American) compainies and then the final product didn't work at all, there would be something to say.

The Obama defenders are suggesting, without saying, that CGI's relationship with the Feds was one of "retainer" rather than "contract bid".
Further, it's been reported that CGI's bid for their part of Obamacare was the only one reviewed.

It appears to me so many CONs have NO idea what a IT's company track record is- most are 'poor' when a zero default standard is used. I have posted several times of the HUGE private sector debacles when it comes to rolling out 'enterprise' systems. Even Big Blue has some very bad foul ups in it's resume.

IT contracts are 'lucrative' by their very nature. In many ways it is like hiring a legal team to do massive contract work for you. Average programmer runs 40 to 50 bucks an hour, developers, analysts, project leaders more, and you use a boatload of them to do something like this, and many parts are subcontracted out to other companies- you would know this if you read more than the whine blogs. :doh

This attempt to make the ACA contract the equiv of the no bid Halliburton contracts is more CON nonsense. Cheney RAN Halliburton, Mrs. Obama never worked for CGI. I'd imagine she 'knows' dozens of rather well placed fellow Princeton grads- real Ivy League grads tend to do well in the business world. :lol:

I have to wonder at the lives some CONs live... you don't network at all? No associates in high places? You just sit at the computer and fuss???? :roll:
