[QUOTE=bubbabgone;1062477418]Refute THIS ...
More CON games... try a fact and not a partisan bit of hackery...
FACT, Mrs. Obama didn't run CGI, didn't work at CGI, went to school with lots of people who just might end up working someplace big and important. The private sector and 'enterprise' systems don't roll out well and most IT contract companies have a 'poor' track record if a partisan hack wants to see it as that.
Now go back and play on the partisan blog sites... you are clueless about major IT projects...
Doesn't matter CGI was awarded major gov't contracts yeeeeeeeeears before either the Toni lady walked in or Michelle was First Lady
What matters to kooky cons:
1. Uppity women
3. Some sort of connection
The accusation is that CGI didn't have to bid, that there wasn't a standard and competitive bidding process. Was CGI a "sole-source" contract? Was it given a no-bid contract? If so, why?
As for your silly comments about "uppity women," I am an "uppity woman," LOL. I am not black but am very familiar with on-campus black organizations and had friends in my day who were the founders of similar orgs at other universities. If you don't think that active members of these groups don't know each other, think again.
I don't really care if Michelle Obama and Toni Townes-Whitley were besties in college, and I'm not naive: "Sweetheart" deals happen all the time. What I do care about is whether the protocols were followed, or whether CGI had no competition. And you should care too because what anybody reasonable would expect as timelines and readiness benchmarks should have been in any proposal submitted.
Were there any? Why wasn't any testing done until weeks before the scheduled launch? Who were the principal investigators? Why did this colossal failure happen?
The same people who are attacking Michelle Obama are the same people who defended Cheney.
The same people who attacked Cheney are the same people defending Michelle.
Let's just all agree it doesn't matter who they know or what goes on as long as they are on your side.
Is what you're living for today, worth dying for tomorrow?
