Sebelius: ‘I Don’t Work For’ People Who Want Me to Resign [W:105]

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

Personally, I hope that Obama stays true to character, and refuses to acknowledge reality, and leave her in place spewing arrogance all the way....It is the best negative PR no money could buy.

and for a change, i agree with you
leave her there to solve the website problems and roll out a successful Obamacare program for the voting masses
if that results, my grandkids will be certain to ask "grandpa, whats a republican?"

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

Not sure what that's based on or even what you're talking about. I know exactly how the ACA is supposed to work.

You are well versed in what it is supposed to do, but how it is supposed to work, or at least you haven't demonstrated you know how it is supposed to work yet.

Sure...but technology happens...I've never seen a major rollout of something with this scale roll out without a hitch. Also...I'm not sure what you mean about making the books balance. As long as the website prevents people from enrolling the open enrollment should be pushed back and the mandate requirement should be pushed back. Once the kinks are worked out then you can end open enrollment and start penalizing. There is 5 months until open enrollment ends.

Of course...that's the purpose of the individual mandate. Wait...I think I know what you're talking about. When I got my haircut at the barbarshop yesterday the old man that runs it had his normal fox news on. Bill O'Reily had this grand narrative.....

Only sick people will sit through the time required to sign up so all these insurance companies will only be getting sick people.

You're crazy if that's not what you think would happen anyway. All the sick people now able to get insurance would flood in and get insurance. Healthy people would wait until the last minute to sign up. No insurance company is going down because for a month or two they have more sick people than normal.........

If the mandate has to be delayed don't expect any healthy people to sign up for the exchanges in 2014. As it is the penalty for no insurance in 2014 is less than many people will be asked to pay in insurance.

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

No, she works for a private contractor

Hahaha, no.

Pay attention to George Will, and Tucker Carlson in this segment....

I guess we can hold on to small agreements though, even if they are for two totally different reasons....;)

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

As usual, you show up to apologize. Then you trot out the usual snarky "faux" stuff. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

YOU'RE BORING MEEEEE!

She works for POTUS who appointed her.. Get over it.

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

She was clearly talking about her chain of command. More Fauxspin.
She works for POTUS who appointed her.. Get over it.

Agreed, she serves at the pleasure of the President. She was correct in what she said.

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

Watch out you don't light a fire under them democrats and have them make something work just to spite you.

Translation: We will force it on you.

Who does the President serve at the pleasure of?

i understood everything, being adept at the english language
but you posted that video as if they had something of value to offer
they didn't
and by your limited reply, it is obvious you can identify nothing of value, either

Damg, wrong thread...

While the Cabinet Members are generally a rubber stamp appointment they aren't legally detached from the will of the people as you seem to think.

Cabinet Members can be impeached just like the president (see William Belknap) which makes sense given that they also need to be approved by Congress when appointed.

So, no, legally she servers at the pleasure of the American people and their representatives in congress.

The President serves at the pleasure of the people, who re-elected him. He'll be out of office in January 2017, but until then we're stuck with him. Unless you know something I don't.

.

And as of now, 33 Republicans have called for her to resign. That's not even 1/3 of the Republicans in the House, much less an overwhelming majority.

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

I love it when tea party house members hold kangaroo court hearings, and the witnesses make fools of them.

Watching tea party boobs read code to tech experts was hilarious. And now Sibelius has shown the arrogance and stupidity of this gang again. You go girl!

They can indeed be impeached by congress but they do not work for congress. Like with the SCOTUS. Unless you're saying the SCOTUS works for congress.

No, I didn't say either work for Congress. I said that they all work for the American people.

Re: Sebelius says she doesn't 'work for' those calling for her resignation

The thread is not about Dan Rather. If a Lib said that, every con would be jumping on you telling you not to throw out strawmen like that.

I responded to a straw man with a straw man.

I didn't say whether she should resign or not. I am simply pointing out that the argument that Sebelius is a private contractor is false.

The clip is 25 minutes long, and there are several thoughts expressed by different individuals. But to keep it short, I was pointing to Will, and Carlson both hitting on the part that the website is the least of Obama's problems with this law...

There are a lot of questions the people have, and they are all valid points in their own merit, suffice to say, that those being dropped from coverage now, is the tip of the iceberg, and the numbers leaking out from states in enrollment is dismal at best.

Stay tuned.... many things could bring about a twist to the saga.
