They are largely irresponsible and have an inflated slf worth. In fact I have never hired anyone younger than I am. Not entirely on purpose, there have been a couple I thought were younger until we filled out the paperwork. Thing is today's youth got us in to our current mess because they fell for Obama's sales pitch. So the future you inherit is yours. Enjoy it, you've earned it by not considering the long term consequences.
Interesting you blame today's youth for the decades of bad decisions that were made before they were born. Good call. Great insight.

Personally, I'd be self employed if not for the group healthcare. Over the past ten years or so, if I were to have covered myself and family, I'd have paid 5X as much, out of pocket, and have crappier coverage. Now, under the new scheme, I might be breaking even. Group covereages will weaken and cost more while rates for the 50-plus on individual plans may strengthen. This may open up an opportunity for me to go back into my own business.
What was that business? Didn't you mention you were chased out by newer technology? For some reason I was thinking you did those intricate airbrush paint jobs on vehicles and got priced out by printed wraps.

Cheaper yes, but it doesn't mean you are covered. Assuming you support this new law it seems odd that you would avoid playing your part. If you support it it is your responsibility to participate for the good of others.

What is it that requires today's youth to take on debt? We are teaching our son to never get involved in it to begin with. We've had to dig our way out a couple of times, it's no fun. And now we have a younger generation who elected Obama TWICE and yet complain about their new role as financial backers for health insurance for others.

I must be thinking of someone else. BTW I've been an auto tech for 26 years. I've got a couple of things I'd like to discuss with you....

Like this Nissan Quest I have in here right now for an EGR problem. Testing the system is damned near impossible since the valve, transducer and control solenoid are all located on the back side of the engine tucked up under the windshield. TONS of room on the front of the plenum, but some asshole decided it would be better to put them in a blind location with no space around them. It needs a knock sensor too. 5.2 hours because it is under the intake manifold. Why not bolt it to the block where it is accessable? Had one of these a couple of years ago, had to remove the engine to repair a stripped spark plug thread. Dropped the whole driveline and front suspension out the bottom on the subframe. I could maybe understand that, it's not like these blow out plugs much (unlike Ford aluminum heads that do it all the time), but there are not many of these out there that will not have a problem with an EGR, a knock sensor of a fuel injector at some point. This one has 2 out of 3.
