We are lucky enough to live in a college town, so anyting within 4 miles will rent pretty fast

That is for a child in the first year. Why does it not surprise me that you have very little knowledge of the law.

The fee in 2014 is 1% of your yearly income or $95 per person for the year, whichever is higher. The fee increases every year. In 2016 it is 2.5% of income or $695 per person, whichever is higher.

In 2014 the fee for uninsured children is $47.50 per child. The most a family would have to pay in 2014 is $285.

They are largely irresponsible and have an inflated slf worth. In fact I have never hired anyone younger than I am. Not entirely on purpose, there have been a couple I thought were younger until we filled out the paperwork. Thing is today's youth got us in to our current mess because they fell for Obama's sales pitch. So the future you inherit is yours. Enjoy it, you've earned it by not considering the long term consequences.
Sure you did. You vote for Republicans who staunchly defend higher student loan rates, cut taxes for the wealthy and make the middle class pay for lengthy wars, uncompromisingly defend the right of wealthy corporations to ship jobs and money overseas, obliterate workers' rights and decent wages. Everything they stand for involves destroying my generation for the benefit of yours.

We believed our elders when they told us to study hard and go to college and we'll have gainful employment. Instead now we're told to shut up and flip burgers and be grateful not to be homeless. We are the first generation in modern history that will be poorer than our parents. Voting in one president doesn't make changes like that. The right wing policies that have been gutting the middle class since the 70s does. But now we're growing up. And we're cynical. And we have no illusions. You and yours stole our future from us, and we're going to take it back.

The youth didn't implement Medicare or Social Security, the two biggest pyramid schemes the world has known. The youth of today didn't create The Great Recession. The youth of today didn't create the job outsourcing bonanza the U.S. is facing. And the youth of today aren't the ones preventing tax cuts for bringing jobs back to America from being implemented.

You are a truly evil individual if your beliefs are sincere.
You're both right... and he's not evil for his statements.

The punks did vote for Obama... the Socialists always appeal to them because they're largely (not entirely) ignorant. I was once a hard lefty before traveling the world. I grew up... many "adults" here haven't. They still believe in Santa Claus, class warfare, and The Ponzi/Madoff Schemes. What they fail to realize is they all implode.

You're right that generations before are responsible for instituting terrible Ponzi Schemes... but again, the youth/ignoramus vote in the past two elections went for even more of the idiocy. And those who should be held responsible for the cess pool they created, are long dead. They did good work for their Socialist Party... making people dependent, dividing to conquer them, but what they really did is bend over the country and give it what-fo'.

Then there's the likes of Ted Cruz... someone who sees the problems and isn't a slave to the party... he's trying to lead the country and his party out of cess pool waters. What happens... well look at the jerk-off press, and it's no wonder we keep digging a deeper and bigger hole.

And then there are major league idiots like John McCain. What a fool. God Bless his military sacrifices, but in the Senate he's proven to be a moron.

Ignorance has its costs... and America will eventually have to pay for the idiocy of Amerika.

More and more people are seeking rental these days to avoid property taxes and various municipal taxes.
OK to blame this administration for shaking up the health care markets. I get that. Exactly, how is the administration hard on home ownership? What to they have to do with increased property taxes and municipal taxes, as those are local matters. Perhaps you would like to blame the weather and the NY Giants 0-6 start on the administration as well?

Now, you could blame sequester and federal income tax cuts for cutting spending and thereby reducing aid to states, which forced local tax increases, but that is more congress than the current administration.

I'm tired of these stats. Here is the truth. Premiums are going to increase, first off because the Obama plans cover more than the high deductible plans most younger folk receive. Not a single one of these articles I have read actually compares comparable plans. They take the cheapest currently available high deductible plan and compare it to the Obama plan with higher coverage and argue that it is proof of massive premium increases. Comparing apples to oranges is dishonest at best, but most Americans have so little understanding of basic statistics they don't even see it.
If all you need is basic cable....and then suddenly you're told you can't get basic cable anymore, but it's okay you're going to get 300 new channels, 150 music channels, and 3 months free of HBO...then as as consumer you're going to be comparing that $30 bucks you use to pay for cable to the $120 you now have to pay for cable. Was your "basic cable" plan comparable, in terms of what it provides, to the new "premium" package that they're forcing you to use that has so many more options. No. But that's because they've taken away your ability to choose that "basic" option and the "premium" option is your only choice, and thus you're comparing the most basic thing you could previously get to the most basic thing you can currently get. THAT is Apples to Apples. The fact it provides you a bunch of extra stuff you don't want and likely won't need is not an offset.
