Only 38 % want to keep as is or expand. Massively unpopular. Exactly as I said.

Professor Dan M. Kahan of the psychology department at Yale says he was surprised to discover a positive correlation between science comprehension and members of the Tea Party:
Well, perhaps some of those previous opinions could've been dispelled earlier when the New York Times wrote in 2010 that Tea Partiers are more educated - and financially better off - than the rest of the public

The tea party aspect of that post is tough to square with my experience. For example, take the "skewed" polling of the last election. It was a purely emotional response to unfavourable data. Instead of confronting reality, there was a self imposed wilful blindness that's totally at odds with any scientific reasoning. (eg, I was banned from Red State for saying that that was nothing in the polling to indicate a Romney landslide, but there's a decent chance he wins in a squeaker) Also, consider the fixation with debt to GDP ratio. The Reinhart-Rogoff which indicated a strong droppoff in GDP at 90% has been thoroughly discredited. Yet the Tea Party remains in a bubble.

I'll buy that Tea Partiers might be more scientifically literate. They're primarily white, middle class, and older. But I'd want to see the results of a test that was limited to just the Cognitive Reflection Test.

    Regardless, it's an interesting read.

Like Obama supporters (who pass out candy and try to fondle children) know anything about science

Just watch the videos. They've been programmed like robots by MTV/Hollywood/MSM to do what they are told

    ooh, baby. Such mellifluous alliteration.

The gods of prose will surely award some extra points for this one.
