The Senate should read Politico articles at night..
All of Cantor's moves were chronicled last night..Like NOT wanting to take away the medical device tax,
a Repub position, because 76 Senators wanted to do as the House used to want to do.

I don't see why negotiations between Reid and McConnell would matter -- it's a good bill or it isn't. If the House were to pass a bill giving the Democrats all of their wildest fantasies, I doubt very much they'd care if negotiations were going on in the Senate or not.

Look, this thing needs to be solved. The Republicans, with this bill, appear to be providing pretty darn close to the "clean" CR the Democrats say they're waiting for. It opens the government, raises the debt ceiling, and staves off default, all while dropping the spending cuts they wanted, or defunding Obamacare. The objections look like quibbles to me, and procedural ones to boot. It's DOA in the Senate because of that?
the senate were negotiating and they were making progress, news of the house proposal blindsided the senate leadership and threw all of the previously made plans into chaos.

See how that works..A win-win for Repubs if Obama agrees to both..more of Cantor's 'false-equivalency'.

why wouldn't it be DOA?...Democrats, including the President don't feel like they need to negotiate or compromise on anything... they have been very clear on the point.

That's a reason to declare a good bill DOA? That's childish.

Not necessarily, since the Chair reserves the right to bring it up tonight and they wouldn't say they would/wouldn't..Meanwhile, after Her.Ac. caused Boehner to pull his bill..Dammit rev..I had DeMint on the my next type..

Not that the don't need to negotiate, but they shouldn't. It's political blackmail. But if negotiations are in order then let's negotiate everything -- higher taxes on the rich, gun control, cuts to the military, and so forth.

You can't have your attack on Obamacare and eat it too.

    No, I'm explaining how Cantor/DeMint are plotting a win-win-win-win-win..
Cantor's budget is a win, his words..
Repubs want Dec. 15th, not Jan. 15th..
Now Heritage Action/GOP is back to removing ACA..
Losing the Union tax is a win..
Losing the Medical Device would be a win, though the House said NO just because they could.
