Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #380]

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Perhaps you should learn how to type a sentence that actually makes sense. No circles here. It doesn't matter if she wasn't a victim "in their eyes." They are not the court of law.

If she is falsely accusing, that is for the court to decide.
No, it is circles with you, because you are bringing up that which was already said and responded to in the same way.

The court of public opinion has spoken.
Her own mother says she is a liar.
Next!

Btw, can your personal insults.
My responses are perfectly readable and understandable.
Your continued and multiple responses to them says you are purposely lying.
So can your bs!

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

The townspeople were wrong to harass an alleged crime victim, regardless if YOU or others think she is lying. That is for the court to decide. We don't do vigilantism.

Tell that to the people suggesting that the guy's head should be met with a baseball bat.

What am I lying about silly? Seems as if you're getting upset because some of your replies are nonsensical, but that's YOUR problem.

The "court of public opinion" does not have the information nor the authority to harass anyone, regardless of what they might think.

Here on the thread?

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Whether Missouri defines statutory rape as under 14 or not, a 14-year old is still a child. And many states set the age of statutory rape far higher: Statutory Rape Laws by State
This is about Missouri and not the other States.
There was a a little over two, to three year difference in there ages.

You want to start a thread arguing what should or shouldn't be statutory, go ahead.
In this case it wasn't.
So lets stick to the actual law in this case.

16 is the lowest age of consent in the US. Most (all?) states have a clause for people of similar age.

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Here on the thread?

Were the people you think were harassing the girl on this thread? :2razz:

So no, I'm talking about other comments I've seen, although I have zero doubt some here agree but don't want to say it.

Well, I'm certainly not advocating for either side to be harassing. I'm saying that any kind of harassment by townspeople (or angry villagers with pitchforks and torches - LOL) is WRONG.

In Texas, if the kids are within 3 years of age, it's a defense.

I think 2 years is better, and 18.

My real point was that your "Duh!" was uncalled for.

You already know what you are lying about as it was already pointed out.
I do not need to point it out a second time.
As for getting upset? :doh iLOL
More hilarious assumptions on your part.

The "court of public opinion" does not have the information nor the authority to harass anyone, regardless of what they might think.
Your whole position has been shown to be based in your bias.
The town folks opinion is far more valid and relevant than yours is.
And until an individual steps over the line and commits a crime, their displayed disgust of the lying false accuser is to be expected.

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

My real point was that your "Duh!" was uncalled for.
Really?
Please show me where is says it was uncalled for.

You have no point as the "Duh!" was appropriate as you were not arguing with in the known law.

No, I haven't lied about anything. What a ridiculous accusation.

Absolutely not, I expect much more from adults than such behavior displayed towards a child and the alleged victim of a crime. It is inexcusable, even if she was lying.

No, I haven't lied about anything. What a ridiculous accusation.
Said the person lying.
:doh

Absolutely not, I expect much more from adults than such behavior displayed towards a child and the alleged victim of a crime. It is inexcusable, even if she was lying.
No it isn't inexcusable. No law was broken.
She is no longer an alleged victim in their eyes as they believe she is lying and falsely accusing, and as such the behavior is normal and to be expected.
They are most certainly allowed to speak their individual minds. Just has you have done in this thread.
The only difference is, that theirs is based in reality that she lied, while yours is not.

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Said the person lying.
:doh

Again, what did I lie about? Nothing, right, that's what I thought. Please try to make an argument without the ridiculous assertions and trying to make it personal.

No it isn't inexcusable. No law was broken.
She is no longer an alleged victim in their eyes as they believe she is lying and falsely accusing, and as such the behavior is normal and to be expected.

That doesn't matter. It certainly doesn't give them the right to harass a child. That behavior is not normal for any adult. Maybe for children, but certainly not adults. Emotionally healthy adults don't bully children.

They are most certainly allowed to speak their individual minds. Just has you have done in this thread.
The only difference is, that theirs is based in reality that she lied, while yours is not.

There is a big difference between speaking your mind and harassment, which is what happened to this child.

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Said the person lying and who made it personal in the first place.

That doesn't matter. It certainly doesn't give them the right to harass a child. That behavior is not normal for any adult. Maybe for children, but certainly not adults. Emotionally healthy adults don't bully children.
BS!
Adults act this way all the time.
We see it in damn near every controversial thread here.

Even you did it in the thread about Columbus.
Of course adults act like this all the time. It is normal.

Their is no law that says an individual can not speak their mind to a 14 year old.
And most of it was from her peers.

There is a big difference between speaking your mind and harassment, which is what happened to this child.
This 14 year old brought the comments on herself, by her actions.
Sorry you don't like that. But until such persons speaking their mind crosses the line into illegality, so ****ing what?
It is normal.

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Said the person lying and who made it personal in the first place.

Well, since you can't seem to point out any lies, everyone should assume you are the one lying. It's amusing because you just can't argue the issue. You just have to be rude and resort to name-calling.

I didn't make anything personal. I thought it was funny the way you have misspelled "assess" as "asses" multiple times now. Obviously you have no sense of humor.

BS!
Adults act this way all the time.
We see it in damn near every controversial thread here.

That in no way makes it right or excuses it.

Even you did it in the thread about Columbus.
Of course adults act like this all the time. It is normal.

Columbus is not a little girl who is an alleged crime victim. That's completely retarded.

Their is no law that says an individual can not speak their mind to a 14 year old.
And most of it was from her peers.

Oh really? How do you know who did MOST of the harassing? Are you lying again? :)

This 14 year old brought the comments on herself, by her actions.
Sorry you don't like that. But until such persons speaking their mind crosses the line into illegality, so ****ing what?
It is normal.

This in no way excuses the adults' behaviors. They are despicable people to pick on a child with obvious emotional/mental issues.

Re: Small Town Turns On Girl Who Was Allegedly Raped By HS Football Player [#303, #38

Well, since you can't seem to point out any lies, everyone should assume you are the one lying. It's amusing because you just can't argue the issue. You just have to be rude and resort to name-calling.

As I have already pointed it out, (as also already pointed out), there is no reason to so again.
What do you not understand about that?

As you previously quoted exactly what I said you were lying about, what was it about your lies that you don't understand?

You already know what was said. Go back and read it.
Your continued deflection doesn't absolve you from your lies.

I didn't make anything personal.
:doh
Another lie.

I thought it was funny the way you have misspelled "assess" as "asses" multiple times now. Obviously you have no sense of humor.
I thought that was funny too. And?
Would you like to blame my spell check? Go ahead.
Most I caught and corrected.

So again you are getting personal and trying to ridicule. What a shame.
Exemplifying exactly what is being discussed.

That in no way makes it right or excuses it.
Right or wrong is subjective.
And there is no excuses needed, it normal activity for adults and humans in general to engage in.

Columbus is not a little girl who is an alleged crime victim. That's completely retarded.
Little girl is a distortion.
She was a sexually active 14 year old.
That is not a little girl.

As for Columbus. It is the same activity on the part of an adult. Matters not if it is a 14 year old being criticized, or a 40 year old being criticized.

Your subjectivity on the issue is what is retarded.

Oh really? How do you know who did MOST of the harassing? Are you lying again? :)
I do not purposely lie. I have no reason for such absurdity.

It was only reported that the teasing was done by other kids, with further implication that it was kids other points.

Do you have anything that says otherwise?
If I am wrong point it out.

A sizable contingent stood by the accused athletes, however, and as the story ripped through the halls of Maryville High School, many took to Twitter and Facebook to make their allegiance known.

Two days after discovering her daughter on the front porch, Coleman says, she got a phone call from another mother warning her that online threats were being levied against the Coleman children, including a suggestion that her sons would be beaten up in the school parking lot.

When she checked online, she discovered that many of the comments were aimed at Daisy. On Twitter, the brother of one of the boys at the Barnett home that night wrote that he hoped Daisy “gets whats comin.”

Daisy was suspended from the cheerleading squad for her role in the night’s events. Barnett did not finish his senior year there, according to his lawyer.

During his Senior Night with the wrestling team, Charlie was booed by some students. Among the comments that made it back to him in the weeks following the arrests: that his mother and sister were “crazy bitches,” that Barnett was blameless, and that Daisy had been “asking for it.”

“There were several days,” Charlie says, “I just wanted to go knock a kid’s teeth out.”

At a dance competition, Melinda Coleman says, a girl arrived wearing a homemade shirt: Matt 1, Daisy 0.

No they are not despicable. That is nothing but your abject subjectivity.
And no excuse is needed.
That would be like saying you are despicable for your criticism of Columbus. It is opinion.
It is nothing more than people speaking their opinion on what they believe to be true.
Just as you do.
It is neither despicable or commendable. It is what it is, and is normal.
In their eyes she is a liar and a false accuser. Under those circumstances, their criticism is deserved.

I'll inform our legislatures.

Really? Where is this, Mississippi? Oh wait, never mind. It is the south (sort of), where the number of women you can bag is some badge of honor, no matter how old they are. In what universe is a 14 year old presumed to be capable of making rational decisions about sex? I'm guessing you don't have children.

Wrong again. I have not lied. What would I lie about anyway? Since you have failed to quote any lies, then one has to assume that you are lying.

You already know what was said. Go back and read it.
Your continued deflection doesn't absolve you from your lies.

See above.

:doh
Another lie.

Seriously, do you even know what a "lie" is? Now stop with these accusations and stick to the topic.

It was funny, so I thought I'd point it out. If you consider that ridicule, then perhaps you are a tad too sensitive.

No, wrong. Not towards children.

Little girl is a distortion.
She was a sexually active 14 year old.
That is not a little girl.

Having sex doesn't make one an adult. That's delusional.

As for Columbus. It is the same activity on the part of an adult. Matters not if it is a 14 year old being criticized, or a 40 year old being criticized.

Your subjectivity on the issue is what is retarded.

No, you bringing Columbus into it is what is retarded.

There were all kinds of things that happened to this girl. You are just cherry-picking data, and you've really kind of failed to make a point here.

No they are not despicable. That is nothing but your abject subjectivity.

Well, that's where you are wrong. It is despicable behavior for adults (as well as other children) to torment someone like that. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
