Why do you think thieves are good and workers are bad?

    2. So what.
Why the bullet points? I don't get it.

The majority of america disagrees with how Obama is handling the shut down. That's what.

He want's Obamacare to be fully implemented and funded because it gives government the authority and access to regulate everything, everyone and anything.... That is why he's not willing to take any deals...

I think a lot of the non-progressive republicans and democrats see this and are unwilling to turn that authority over to the government...

Obamacare will NOT be funded - at least not including the individual mandate - which is the load barring wall of Obamacare...

Republicans should just continue to hold out and when the US credit rating drops it will be because of Obama and OBAMA ALONE. He could avoid this if he just takes one of the NUMEROUS bills the House has sent to the Senate, however the Senate votes on Obama's opinion which is pretty pathetic...

The folks in the TEA Party today would generally endorse the positions of John Kennedy.

The TEA Party is the party of most Americans today.

I say fully fund Obamacare and implement the law as written with no delays, exemptions, subsidies or anything that was issued by executive fiat. It's unconstitutional for the president to legislate, that is the responsibility of the legislature. This of coarse would be impossible and extremely unpopular which is exactly the point. Let every American see how hopelessly lost this government has become. Let every American see how much the law punishes them. Let every American see the consequences are of voting for a law without reading it. Let every American throw the bums out.
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury." Attributed to Alexander Tytler

What with all the government shutdown threads on the forum . . . and the laying of blame from every side of the argument. I can only think to ask 3-questions.

    1. Who advertised they were going to shutdown the government weeks before it happened because they wanted to defund the ACA?

    2. Does Congress have a 237-year old process to change laws or not?

    3. Why would the president negotiate if he doesn't have to?

Don't get me wrong, the president has done a lot of stuff to piss me off over the last almost 5-years . . . but the GOP owns this shutdown. Again, sometimes there aren't 2-sides to every story and life isn't always fair and balanced . . . no matter how partisans want to describe their stance. They made their beds, yet now they seem to be complaining about their lumpy mattress.

The Dems are tyrannts. They shut down the government to protect a bill that most Americans oppose.
