Not a straw man, the truth. The right says they were so against Bush, however, gave him a second term. It's not a straw an, it's proof of the right's hypocrisy.

They are protecting Europe from the threat posed by the USSR.
I am not of the mind that a man is either of science or of religion. At his best and his worst, man exists in the misty glimmering where the falling angel meets the rising ape. That he chooses a direction from that point defines him as human.

Before the 80's they were a speed bump to slow the Russians from rolling accross Europe before we could get reinforcements there. Now days the only thing that keeps us there is the beer.

    Yoo-hoo!

    I'm still waiting!

The conservatives that "say" they were against Bush's spending rewarded him with a second term by voting for him. The right side of the isle is no better than the left. Just two sides of the same coin. There are republicans AND conservatives that don't mind the government intervening and spending on big government as long as it is for what THEY want. They may say they don't like the spending, yet their votes when their guy is in charge says something COMPLETELY different.
This is why the adult Republicans are busy firing the posers like the Speaker, McCain, and if there is any justice, Grahmn.
