Russia To Debate Taking Children Away From Gay Parents[W:127]

What do you mean "substitutes"? Gay adoption is illegal in Russia.

Probably not for much longer. Good for them

What does this have to do with Marxism? And no, taking children away from their parents for no valid reason whatsoever is never the right step to take. Being gay does not automatically make a man or a woman a bad parent, just like being straight doesn't automatically make you a good parent.

It has everything to do with Marxism. The destruction of the family unit is one the primary goals of Marxism.

We know the statistics of single parent children and they aren't good. Russia believes we shouldn't condemn children to Frankenstein social experiments to push a radical political agenda, so culturally they are making changes which will have long term effects

Good for them

The only person in favor of destroying family units here is you. You're in favor of removing children from their biological mother or father when they haven't done anything to harm their child. Shame on you.

If you weren't grossly ignorant, you would be aware that ruthless persecution of homosexuals was a policy of the USSR. The current Russia attitudes towards gays are a holdover of their marxist past. You are openly supporting policies rooted in communist governance. Apparently you hate gays so much you'd jump into bed with communists just to spite them.

Bias or prejudice against what? Russia believes children shouldn't be forced to live with 2 men that use each others bodies for sodomy and masturbation.

Forced?

If sodomites want to put things in filthy bacteria filled holes in their bedrooms, more power to them.

A vagina is full of bacteria too. There's nothing you can stick "things" into that isn't.

Who said NO parents are better? Try and reply without setting up a weak strawman. Thanks.

There has always been a system in place to address orphans. There has never been a demand for Gay "Parents" to fill a void.

Russia is looking at the situation long term. It's a culture problem. When the culture gets it's moral compass back, there won't be any need for deviant, patchwork, Frankenstein Gay "parents". Good for Russia. Gay Thumping has become a tiresome agenda.

Ah. Bronson is here to spout his well documented ignorance on this topic. We already know that children of gay parents do as well as children of straight parents. Not only does what Russia is doing prove that they are anti-science, it shows that you agree with the anti-science of Russia.

I don't have a problem with gays. If they want to sodomize each other in their bedrooms, that's their business

It's good to see that you still haven't opening a dictionary to actually learn what the word "sodomy" means. I suppose remaining ignorant of this definition is helpful to not cause the cognitive dissonance that would occur when you'd discover that it doesn't mean what you want it to mean.

No. Those poor children are going to be bullied in school.

I don't know about Russia, but here in the US, research has shown that this does not happen. So, you are wrong.

Gays are not suitable substitutes for parents

Poor Bronson. Never tires of being wrong, never tires of presenting idiotic opinions without substantiation, never tires of ignoring facts. It has already been proven that gays raise children just as well as straights. All major scientific organizations acknowledge this fact. So, what we have learned from you is that you are anti-science.

Russia is taking the right step culturally. They are playing the long game and will purge Marxist deviancy from it's culture slowly over time.

Russia is doing what Russia has always done. Persecuting a group of people. I am glad to see that you support Russian persecution.

Just so you know I am with Bronson on this point, that a mother and father in a loving family is superior to a gay family all things being equal. I would also say that if it were true that all children were adopted and there was competition to adopt children the I would discriminate actively against a gay couple adopting.

Actually, you are wrong about this as many have said and evidence shows.

The only reason I am for it is like I said before, ANY loving family is better than none.

I would agree that any loving family is better than none.

Innocent children deserve both a male and female parental figure in their lives. They shouldn't be forced to endure patchwork, Frankenstein, perverted, dirty and deviant households like Gay "Families".

Gay Math 1 + 1 = 0

I agree completely. Single parents should have their children forcibly removed and placed into state care and divorce should be illegal for couples with children. Plus, the sexual activity of parents should be monitored to ensure they don't engage in anal or oral sex.

As a libertarian, I'm sure you support granting the government the power to enforce this.

Dickhead.

So to protect the family unit which Marxism is trying to destroy, we must break up family units, that bear no threat to any individual or society-at-large, forcibly, by the tool of big government.

I'm really glad this isn't representative of libertarian thinking in general, sadly though it is of Russian government.

I just say go with the plan of refusing visas of all Russian politicians and diplomats for now.

What about the other 82+ countries that have anti gay laws? Hardly fair to just pick out one.

76 Countries Where Anti-Gay Laws Are As Bad As Or Worse Than Russia's

the proposed amendment to law 69, by Zuravlev.

Zhuravlev was originally the leader of the "left-patriotic" (read: fascist) party "Rodina" ("Homeland") who had joined the Putin's ruling party for the lack of better options. Unless things have changed tremendously since I've tried to figure out what's going on over there last time, he is a completely powerless backbencher with a transparent scapegoat function, and the whole spectacle is probably staged by the Kremlin: "See? - this dude is really anti-gay. We are not. Children will stay where they are. Have you bought your tickets to the Olympic Games in Sochi yet, by the way?"

Oh look more speculation.

I said nothing about a family or families.
Stop trying to put words into a persons mouth.

My reply to the OP was, "Good for them". Period.

Reminds me of one episode from - by coincidence - Russian experience, 1968, when a prominent (officially recognized, but ever-so-slightly dissident) poet responded to the news that a small group of protesters had demonstrated against the invasion of Czechoslovakia and the Bosses ordered special forces to beat and arrest them. He said, publicly: "Lowlife bastards!".

Historians still disagree on which side he was talking about.

preserve their cultural norms?

What cultural norms that would be?

The "norms" of the Bolsheviks, who would murder the parents and then lock their offspring into the orphanages, to produce perfect brainwashed zombies? (Remember the puppies in Animal Farm?) Sure (and there's still some room for "improvement").

After the slavery ("serfdom") was abolished by Alexander II and untill the Communist takeover, give me one single documented example of children being forcibly separated from parents who were not convicted of any crime that would lead to imprisonment by the Russian state. One.

(And even before the emancipation of 1861, the rare cases of family members sold separately were invariably met with fierce public opprobrium, at least in the proximity to cultural centers).

A lot of the Hegelian/Marxist deviancy being passed off as "equality" is slowly being cleansed from the Russian culture which is a good thing.

In case you didn't (really) know, being gay was a felony under the Communist rule. Ten years in Gulag (life expectancy under Stalin: 3.5 years)

The "Marxist deviancy" was never about equality - from the beginning, it was about the right of the State to ram leaden uniformity down the throat of the Society.

Equality, uniformity. Not the same thing.

Half of those we don't even have relations with and also Russia is by far of the the biggest players in this with great influence and a large population.

Good for who? You have no place to whine about assumptions and speculation when you make hit and run statements, and refuse to clarify them.
Wrong on all counts.
Pointing out another's false assumptions and speculation is not whining.

Saying, "Good for them", is not a hit an run statement.
It stands on it own, as it is.
Period.
Good for them.

Did I stutter? Good for the Russians or good for nations being vocal in their disgust with this Russian policy?

The statement I made in reply, stands on it own.

The statement you made means absolutely nothing because you refuse to clarify it. When posters tried to debate you on it you said they were speculating, but wouldn't clarify what you were actually saying. That doesn't make sense.

I do not need to clarify that which is clear.

I do not need to clarify that which is clear.

It isn't clear at all. It seemed like you were talking about the Russians, but when people confronted you on it you said they were speculating, but refuse to explain. You have no place to complain that people are speculating when you yourself refuse to end the speculation, plain and simple. You have been given ample opportunity to clarify, yet you shy away. Good for who?
