Let's all pray for a third party.

Well, we also have a rather entrenched two party system. So it's hard for any subset of them to act independently. Unless you're someone already high profile like nader or perot

Evening Fiddytree, Does this mean you are an ole foggie too?
Seriously I don't see them being any more anti-establishment as our Founding Fathers did in their day.

If you don't buy the Tea Party swill hook, line, and sinker, you are a 'leftist'. Or a RINO.

hell, we don't get invited to presidential debates, and we can't afford to put on our own multimillion dollar prime time spectacle either.... according to the media and most voters, nobody exists outside of Dems and Reps.

for now, libertarians are left to operate within the major parties... mostly the Republican party , as the Democratic party is very hostile towards us kind of folks.

that's a pretty complicated subject, because a party should have a level of national recognition to be given the same platform as a major party that holds the solid support of a 1/3 of the population. But the current system heavily favors those two already established parties and actively works to discourage competitors.

For me, the one truism to my voting strategy is to try and support 3rd parties, largely regardless of politics. hell, I voted for McKinny before based on it, and ****ing hate that woman

I haven't seen the specifics of why the Libertarian candidate for governor in Virginia was kept out of the next debate but he is getting 8%
