Apparently they don't want the boys to have balls of any kind when they leave school, because masculinity is a threat to the Collectivist Vision.

Did any of you read the article, or just jump to conclusions?

My responce was to some of the other posters and their "play ground experience".
    So what is your point?

Ya, I read the article... And while there is a "justification", this is just another piece in a long trend.

Put it this way, when I was in high school, the school I was going to had a shooting range in the basement, kids (only a few years before I got there) would bring their rifles to school for target practice...

There's other solutions that could have been made.

There's no dodge, I've discussed this with you and you know where I stand. And for the record, you have fail to prove any of your assertions about law suits. Failed, and until you do otherwise there's nothing more to discuss.

So...you have no idea how long this policy will be, the kids are still playing with the harder balls during gym class and the policy was only implemented once construction was going on at the school...but you're going to stick to your original position.

Wow...the only thing which would make this better would be a personal anecdote which could never be substantiated to illustrate the difference between how you had it and how it happens today...

    Ahh, good! There it is.

    Name them.

You mean the assertion that more people in a group means a greater chance of lawsuits, no matter the group? It is mathematics, statistics.

Or maybe the one that said not all homeschoolers are religiously oriented in their decision to homeschool? (If you didn't mean this, then feel free to expand on what you meant by knowing homeschoolers.)

    Home-schooling demographics change, expand

But it still comes down to statistics. If more people homeschool, then that would mean there is a higher chance that a homeschooling parent will sue someone over something related to their child. Perhaps it would be playground equipment in the neighborhood or access to it or some other area normally only available after school hours. Maybe it would be suing someone for trying to discriminate against them for homeschooling their child.
