Not surprisingly, you are lying or badly misinformed. The Antideficiency Act makes it illegal for federal workers to perform their job duties during a shutdown except in certain specific circumstances, even on a voluntary basis. The law was passed in 1870. So unless you are going to suggest that Obama is really over 140 years old you have no point. And since we all know you would be first in line to bitch if you felt Obama was not obeying the law, this all falls apart as just another example of the right wing blogosphere stupidity.
Laws and rationality have no place in the "Obama is the root of all evil" universe.

Who won't have a vote on a clean resolution so we can get over this? Until boehner gives up the hostage he has it in his possession. This is terrorist tactics 101.

Why did Obama and Hagel deny the families of military KIA their benefits and access to funerals?

Stop with the "clean resolution" propaganda speak

Obama doesn't get a blank check. Obamacare is already crashing and burning. All Americans deserve a permanent exemption. Not just Obama's cronies and corporate pals

    Welcome to 2013 I guess.
I am a) not a "religion hater" since I have plenty of people in my own life who are very religious, and b) I am one of those servicemembers. And in fact, during my time in service, I had to watch some of my friends fight to use time in our ship's chapel for their own religious services, without any support of clergy, since the military only recently recognized their religion as "valid". So, while I feel sympathy for those few who may be inconvenienced by this, I also understand rather well how the military actually works.

It is apparently an opportunity for certain political partisans to tell us how they think the President feels about our vets, without any real proof, only baseless accusations.

There is no "God" in the running of our country. We are secular, whether some wish that or not.

God is a personal value, not a legal one.

I think how he feels is "painfully" obvious.

Some may, many were all for keeping faith/religion a private matter, and out of government.

But not only are they all dead, but most of them would disagree in blacks being equal citizens to whites, women being allowed to vote or especially considered equal to men, tobacco should be viewed as something to be regulated, and that alcohol should be for those over 21. Many of them would also very likely disapprove of the our foreign affairs, including many of the wars we have had since any of them lived.
