Its "old conspiracy theory" was pretty much proven valid, old boy. Ever hear of the Rosenbergs, the treasonous giving away of our Atomic secrets to the enemies sworn to bury us, the Soviets? Perhaps Alger Hiss, FDR's boy, the executive secretary of the Dumbarton Oaks Conference, which drew up plans for the future, much flawed, United Nations. The Venona transcripts, possibly?
There are, of course, myriad more instances... Joe McCarthy was right as well, it was just his blunt/brusque manner that did not sit well with most Americans, but he was certainly correct in the majority of his assertions about Communism and its infiltration into our Government and American society.
So, besides an attempt to appeal to popular, and mainly misinformed, prejudices rather than by using rational argument, what might be your point?
