About as likely as budget or ACA repeal bills have been to reach the senate floor.

Those parties in controll of their respective parts of government typically use the tools available to them

I was arguing the point, to the extent one was necessary in responding to your post. And just to be clear, I'll come and go as I please and hopefully you will as well.

I believe that happened Friday, and it was voted down in the House. Thats what CBS reported Friday afternoon.

I have not been able to find any voting record as of yet to see if the same Dems (17 or so) who voted in favor of the original House bill voted for or against the "clean" bill, really wouldnt expect to until late Monday or Tuesday.

We wouldnt be having to go through this is the President would have submitted a budget that his own party might have voted for...but even his own party votes against his proposed budgets. We wouldnt have to keep going through this Continuing Resolution crap every few months.

The only ones who wanted that are the tea party dufuses they surrounded themselves with. in 2014 if all you are voting for is to undo gridlock you vote dem because Obama is still there with the veto. You do not go further to the extreme. So pretty much they are pushing every purple congressional district blue. Worse yet they might end up fighting tea party crazies and blowing their warchest just to get nominated. They are doubling down on the wrong side, and they simply do not hold the block of elderly they used to because of their attacks on medicare.
The People didn't want Obamacare either, but the Dems jammed it down everyone's throat. So tell us some more about doing things the People don't want.

Yes in deed! It was Obamacare, the bailouts and the huge porkulus stimulus Obama and the Democrats shoved through while they had full control of the Hill. It has been the audacity of the Democrats and Obama not to pass a balanced budget unwilling to cut spending for 4 years. It has been countless new regulations against businesses that stifle economic growth and leave millions unemployed seeking government assistance. But probably the worst of all are the countless number of times this administration has violated our constitutional rights through legislation and executive orders. Maybe the left shouldn't be so concerned about the popularity of the Tea Party and start paying attention to the polling on Obama. His approval rating is the lowest it has been in two years.

Likewise the government being off is its default state. Like a light in you home, leave it off untill you need it, use it, then turn it back off.
No the government is not a car or a light blub, nor it is something which is either "on" or "off" right now we say the government is "shutdown" but obviously some parts are still working so its not a total shutdown, a true total shutdown would mean the end to everything the government does which would obviously not be a good thing.

Where do you get these wacko ideas?

Weird...it appears their arithmetic is off some:

Earlier this week, Democrats began to circulate for signatures a letter calling on Boehner to bring a “clean,” short-term continuing resolution to the floor. They announced Saturday that they had garnered 200 Democratic signatures (195 excluding five non-voting delegates). No Republicans have signed on so far.

FACT CHECK: Boehner Falsely Claims He Can

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 195+20 still just 215, two votes short for passage? Note your links states clearly 'if all 200 Democrats stick together', what of the 5 non-voting members?

No one jammed it down everyone's throat. there have been 41 votesd to remove it. People have elected positions that would have rejected obamacare but they did not vote for that. Mitt Romney ran against it and lost so the people's majority has spoken, and even the supreme court declared it constitutional. You are in the minority and that means if you do not like it suck it up[ and go somewhere else because that is the law of the land now. If you want to fight against it feel free but a loss is a loss and when you lose you have to comply. You do not get your way when you are in the minority. You are not a dictator. America is not run by the radical religious right. You do not decide where we go. We will not be brought down by you.

In fact, *most* of the government is still running. There is no such thing as a "shut down" but look at you all run around like its the end of the world lol
