That's a lie, there's nothing to go to committee on. Show me a credible link.

Thats a lie. After the house and the senate each pass a budget they're supposed to go to a house-senate conference committee to negotiate the FINAL BUDGET. DOH!!!!

It's common knowledge....do your own homework and look it up yourself.

So the House Budget bill contains poison-pill wording to eliminate the ACA,
and the Repubs scream and shout blaming the Senate Dems for not voting on it. Interesting.
Why can't the House Repubs hold a separate vote against the ACA-----no, wait, they did that

Maybe we can get it under control before it forces us into default. Maybe we can't. But if we are forced by other we will lose our position in the world and that would be too bad.

So stop worrying about smallish national differences of opinion and stop crying for more spending. Look at the clock.
What does that have to with my response to your "blackmail claim" or the fact that the debt ceiling must be raised to prevent a government shut down and the US defaulting on paying the debt which would cause a global economic meltdown? Not a darn thing as far as I can tell.

But since you're so worried about the debt...how do you propose to pay down the debt when republicans are shutting down the government and preventing it from paying on the debt which is needlessly creating more debt?

That, at least, is a good question. I think the government will have to reduce spending.

Perhaps you failed to follow the discussion. The 100 amendments I spoke of were those floored during PPACA debate prior to passage. This was deemed off topic thus I will not respond further.

The President should not negotiate with terrorists.... for one, it sets a very bad precedent. The issue at hand is should the government be funded until a budget can be put in place or not. Anything else is an irresponsible distraction. When with the Republicans throw these buffoons out of their party and get serious. This whole thing is bordering on treasonous.
This type extreme hyperbolic rhetoric is why we are in the shutdown. The GOP, Tea Party, et al are all Americans not terrorist, not wacko birds, etc. who have opinions just as valid to them as yours is to you.

As a side note how do you feel about the President negotiating with Assad and Iran?

Yep, and eight of those times (20%) the bills went to the Senate who passed it and the President signed it...you agree right?

Re: John Boehner: Obama owns this shutdown now

From an outsiders perspective it looked like the GOP hugely underestimated the presidents resolve and his unwillingness to stand down from this issue. Not the same president they were able to bully before the 2012 election.
