Obamacare Website Quietly Deletes Reference to 'Free Health Care' [W:10]

Re: Obamacare Website Quietly Deletes Reference to 'Free Health Care'

You probably are referring to this quote: "You’ll also learn if you can get free or low-cost coverage through Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)." Aren't we getting a little petty with the technicalities? Oh, and there's this reference too (the only other one): "...benefits like free preventive care." Already addressed as something caveated with the word "may."
I don't understand your point. If your point is that free care is not being promised, then you really have no point if you read the image which started this thread. Free is not promised there either.

Well, the point of the OP was noting how the website quietly dropped "Free" from the headline.

The point of the OP is that the administration has of a sudden de-emphasized their previous selling point of the program - that Obamacare would be "free," which has been demonstrated to be a patent lie. It isn't free at all, and that contrary to how they sold it to their minions. And that to get the support of their minions.

You asserted that "free" is still there - albeit buried in the body of the text - ostensibly I suppose to refute the notion that they didn't "really" drop "free" at all.

I pointed out that while the "free" is still there - albeit buried in the body of the text - it being "free" is now both CONDITIONAL (e.g. "IF...", "MAY...") and LIMITED to a very minuscule few services.

And the headline very clearly was conditional as well. So, again, you really don't have a point.

If we're talking about the word "Free", it's still on the site. If we're talking about conditionally free, then this thread has no purpose.

Again, I know. Meh.

Actually, the headline wasn't conditional at all, which WAS the point. Moreover, that's not even the major point - the major point is, as I stated, that Obama and the Democrats "sold" Obamacare to their minions as a FREE service. That's the point. Now they're backing off that promise, now that they've got it passed. Essentially, they lied through their teeth to their own people so they could get their vote.

If we're talking about the word "Free", it's still on the site. If we're talking about conditionally free, then this thread has no purpose.
Meh... the point is as above.

Well of course it was. Free OR low cost? Who's going to willingly choose low cost if free is an option? The "low cost" clearly made that statement conditional.

Furthermore, if you continue reading, it says:

If you can't afford any health plan, you can get free or low-cost health and dental care at a nearby community health center. How much you pay depends on your income. Community health centers are located in both urban and rural areas and provide:
It's been conditional from the very beginning.

Moreover, that's not even the major point
It kind of is. The major point is the deception and misinformation which is constantly being offered to discredit Obamacare.

the major point is, as I stated, that Obama and the Democrats "sold" Obamacare to their minions as a FREE service.
I've never been under the impression everyone would get free healthcare. Quite the opposite, with all the discussion around the individual mandate, it's always seemed to me it would not be a free service.
