Government is not responsible for the voluntary actions of its citizens when it comes to taking care of the results of their procreation activities...

You're floundering. The government has no "human" responsibilities, it has governmental duties as prescribed by law, and we are debating those activities that directly take from one to support functions that should be provided for by the individuals that took the action and its result...

and what about the people who are on the program, and are the ones who could potentially suffer if this program is defunded.

They cannot undo the life choices they have made, but they continue to try to live by their choices.

we live and die by our choices.

Where are the families? I'm certainly not a member, or I would help if appropriate circumstances justified the action...

it does not matter if you are family member, these families are seeking help from a government program intended to help families who cannot qualify for medicaid but cannot afford private insurance.

The government is not a member of their family and had no involvement in their decision making. I'm not sure where you're having difficulty in understanding this...

As per the thread name, Boehner has admitted in public that he is "no expert on economics".
As for today's bravado, including a false and negative link between Obama and Putin, just red meat.
The blowback from normal Repubs has started.
Cruz now admits he might have to wait til next election.

We all make our choices. They cannot change the fact they have a child, or want a child. All they want is to have affordable insurance for their children. They make too much to qualify for medicaid, but they cannot afford private insurance? who are they supposed to turn to in that situation. The chip program exists to help people who cannot qualify for medicaid but cannot afford private insurance.
