Ahhh more CON crying sounding like the Commie whine of the Cold War era. fact is the region was de-stablished when BushII thought he could plants the seeds of democracy in the desert and the region CONvulsed. Far from Obama designing anything BushII and his neo-CON cabal set this crap fest in motion. Just how does Obama stop the process when a nation sickened and disillusioned just like after Vietnam, decides we are done overseas?
Mubarak was no friend, why do CONs insist on making international relations sound like a weekend party at a frat house? We were renting him with a huge 'aid' package most would call a bribe. Few Americans wanted anything to do with propping Mubarak up, doing anything in Libya, wanted out of Iraq so fast it was dizzying, and Afghanistan sat and purtrified- nation building was tried by the USSR and was a miserable failure but somehow BushII thought because he found an Afghani with a british accent and cool hat the rest of the nation was MTV ready...
Putin made a fool out of all the CONs frothing up about WWIII, comparing this to how WWI started, and claiming Russia would fight us in the Med. :doh
CON it all you want, President Obama didn't do that snickering, sneering arrogant crap BushII did... Obama didn't demand the chemical weapons or we would INVADE, but surrender the chemical weapons or we strike certain facilities- BIG DIFFERENCE. BushII demanded the WMD or he would change the regime, President Obama wanted the chemical weapons removed or there would be strikes... BIG DIFFERENCE.
Far from 'defending' Syria Putin has blinked and is helping negotiate EXACTLY what President Obama wants- a solution without 'military action' that has the CONs in a frenzy and the American people nervous.
It is the world gone mad when the CONs open up their own chapter of the 'Hate America First' Club.
Russia has given President Obama EXACTLY what he wanted without the launch of a single missile... doesn't sound like Russia is a regional power but our bitch... :2wave:
Your comic book foreign policy analysis is on par with Obamas comic book foreign policy. I'll give you that much.
The entire region has never been stable since they drew it up years ago. Even before then actually. But it's far worse now than it was just five years ago.
Who made the situation worse in Iraq since Obama became President? Obama or Bush? Obamas rapid pull out after his incompetent administration couldn't even negotiate a standard status of forces agreement was music to Iran, Russia's and terrorists ears.
Mubarak was a friend to America and the civilized world. Of course our incompetent Presidential administration had no clue as what to do when Egypt needed a steady voice from America. Then look what happen. Obama has everybody in the country hating America now. That took a lot of incompetence on our part but that's one thing in abundance within the Obama administration. Aid? Obama provided it to Mubarak then gladly provided it to a terrorist organization when they held control there. Of course when the terrorists lost control, Obama's administration talked about cutting aid to them. What's next from the misfits guiding American foreign policy for that country? Nobody knows.
Libya? Obama turned that place into a near complete disaster. It's laughable to even pretend it's anything but. What did his "lead from behind" foreign policy aggression led to at that place? Lawlessness. And a terrorist redoubt.
Syria? Obama administration incompetence on world wide full display. Just another country where he has just about everybody hating America. Assad naturally, but the rebels that were expecting help, they didn't get it. Assad is holding far more cards now than just a few months ago. That's the exact opposite of what Obama wanted. Putin punked him (America) and now across the region other countries will look to them first for leadership. They sure won't get any from the Obama administration.
