Regardless of what you think the people in question are stuck in a marriage the federal government recognizes and they can not dissolve.

Seems to me that they're listening to their constituents.

Note: In the linked surveys a distinction is made between marriage and civil unions.

Poll numbers show drop in support for same-sex marriage among TX voters

New poll shows highest number of Texans support gay relationships

so how's that working out for them? Their decision to move and therefore their consequence to accept, this is what federalism is all about. Go to the state that suits you and facilitates your pursuit of happiness. Not use courts in order to change the state to suit you. Otherwise one should work for legislative action that includes the consent of the public at large.

its just temporary, nobody honest buys the bs that its "the will of the people" lol
if we followed that when it came to equal rights and riding ourselves of discrimination where would minorities and women be? would interracial marriages still be illegal?

what a joke, this issue is going to fall soon and its awesome for the country.

No Texan would want them banned from entering the state, we just ask that people who live here abide by the laws of this state. There is no legal ssm marriage in Texas, and to quote a certain other poster on this forum "thats FACT deal with it".

and thats the point of my op, this is the stuff that is going to help achieve equality eventually and end discrimination on this front.
Federal tax rules have no bearing on state law, and the doma ruling confirmed the state prime role in this issue, so your examples have no bearing on this case.
