Terrorism conspiracy is a crime. Burning books is not.
He faces two charges: unlawful conveyance of fuel, and unlawful open carry of a firearm, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Thanks for the information. Do you have a link to the story? By the way it isn't just the RWBlogosphere that does that, let's not make that assumption that the Left doesn't also do this....
How easily Obama gave Islam control over America. Absolutely disgusting cowardice by our leaders.
Pastor arrested before he could burn Qurans
Glad they could stop this dickhead before he cost more life's.
I don't really like this. We have to limit freedom for fear of pissing off the terrorists?
No, you have to limit people driving around with enough kerosene to be a danger to the public, carry your firearms according to the law and register your trailer.
Precisely how is the religion of Islam controlling America?
that is the topic. That is why he was arrested. Have you read anything?
Tell us why this man shouldn't be able to burn a holy book in an act of symbolism?
Would you explain the symbolism and what it means?
The most violent protest happened after the 2011 Quran burning as hundreds of protesters stormed a U.N. compound in Mazar-i-Sharif in northern Afghanistan, killing seven foreigners, including four Nepalese guards.
He can. You need to read a little bit first.
That would be for the pastor to explain, and that is irrelevant when it comes to freedom and the idea that people oppose so strongly this man burning a holy book out of fear of retaliation. That means the terrorists are winning.

If you don't understand it, why would you support it? What is your idea of freedom?
Because it incites hatred and puts lives at risk...
I agree both sides do it but there is tons of it from the right. I posted the link I thing it was post #2 or at least on the first couple of pages.
Because it incites hatred and puts lives at risk...
Well then why are people so opposed to his burning the book? Because that's what this thread is really about.
The legal meaning of incitement and your use thereof are absolutely worlds apart.
It really has nothing to do with the reaction of violent, oversensitive people thousands of miles away, and more to do with actually encouraging a mob towards violent action. By perverting the meaning the way you are doing, you allow the reaction to an act to determine its legality, and hand the right to limit one person's actions to the most violent people who might react.
.

Nobody is arguing about the technical reasons of why he was arrested. I think the real argument here is people condemning him for the symbolic act of burning a book because they fear retaliation. That's the real interesting story here.
