    This may already have been said, but it seems odd to me that Americans have a constitutionally protected right, as upheld by the Supreme Court, to burn the American Flag, but you get arrested for "potentially" burning Muslim holy books. Just curious - anyone think that the pastor would be arrested if he said he was going to burn bibles?

    They did in the local news source. That is the problem with the right wing blogoshpere, there is usually so little of the truth it is not recognizeable. Whenever I see a story like this I look it up in the local paper, the RWblogosphere always leaves out the other (at least) half of the story.

    Koran's are private property. We can do with our private property what we wish. We are free to burn flags, bibles korans, copies of the constitution and anything else we wish as long as we do it on private property and have burn permits in areas which are fire hazards.

    Seems to me that would indicate clearly why the pastor was arrested but that may not be the actual charges, trumped up or otherwise, that he actually faces.

    You have to go to a local news source, I did not check them all, but the first local one I checked listed the facts, you know, like what he was arrested for.
