UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake [W:44]

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

presstv.ir; the "ir" stands for Iran. This is a government propaganda website, designed to make local citizens distrust the UN and the US. It's not reliable. It's among a slew of similar websites produced in the middle east and also in Communist countries, solely to discredit the western world. I'm not a "the US govt. could never lie to me" sort of guy, but I'm definitely going to take their word over Iran's.

As I said, i didn't know presstv was from iran. Now that i know, I shan't post anymore news from it. this is I think the first and shall be the only time I shall post from it.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

It depends what you consider by "worse". i think the impact mainstream media sources have on society is far greater than what the eutimes is capable of, and to a far greater harmful effect. Even if it is run by a skinhead, doesn't mean that all the articles on the site are tainted by skinhead-ism.

I must admit, I'm surprised. I honestly didn't think there could have been a citation at this website, let alone in this very thread, worse than the Iranian regime's propaganda arm. But you did it! A psycho flat-out crazy skinhead blog. Gratz.

Regarding the website being racist, I presented an article from eutimes above ("racist-wiki is finally here!!"). haha

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

Let me tell you, Rainman, if you know anyone that has anything to do with that psycho racist blog... RUN!

You are trying to push my buttons ecofarm and that's not very wise of you because unlike you, I admit my mistakes in what I posted here. I didn't know presstv was iranian or that eutimes was owned by an alleged skinhead. if I had, I would have tried to find alternative news sources to see if they had anything to say about it. And as I said, now that I know that such sites are frowned upon, be assured, I shan't post anything from them ever again. Because I hate discussions based on partisanship.

You don't want me to haunt you on every post your comments on when you take fox news seriously, frontpage magazine or such news outlets. Because I can poke holes an elephant can pass through and find countless reasons as to why those news outlets are crap too, as well as a lot others. And this isn't me being vs conservatives, I can do the same for liberal news outlets too. Mainstream ones that get posted around here regularly.

That being said, thank you for drawing my attention on the matter. Have like :).

Ah I wouldn't worry about RM.....he doesn't know about referenced sources which are validated thru the media. Note.....there is no argument if the References are validated. Which is why.....you saw him run off.

Also he does try to push buttons.....but can't handle his getting punched! Which I make that clear to him! :lamo

This has nothing to do with partisanship. This has to do with a basic level of critical thinking. While it's good that you recognize the sources are suspect, it would be nice if you - yourself - would admit that the websites are garbage and totally unreliable. If you cannot establish (and present) your own assessment of them, and continue to blame others for establishing that they're bad websites, it shows an inability to ascertain reality.

It's a skinhead blog (with absolutely insane and racist articles) citing the Iranian regime.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

"It also said evidence provided by numerous witnesses confirms that militants fighting against the Syrian government used chemical weapons in the Damascus suburb of western Ghouta last month. "

Soooo... bomb the rebels?

LOL. My ribs hurt on that one. I can hear him now, "I never said we were going to attack anyone over chemical weapon use."

Again.....were the sources Referenced out and Validated? If they are.....then go on explain how it isn't legit? Lets see some of that so called critical thinking of yours.

partisanship is not between 2 political parties only. But that's another discussion.

I apparently am not making myself clear or you keep on pushing the same idea. I didn't know when I posted that these sources were owned by the iranian regime and an alleged skinhead. Other people drew attention of that on me, and fine, I got it. It's done, no more news that comes from them because
#1) I hate partisanship
#2) i hate having to discuss 3 pages on the fact that the sources for the article are crap. They're crap. I got it now, post-factum, and I learned something useful for the future.
I am grateful for the lesson, I really am. I am just not grateful for the hawkish manner it's repeated.

There were only two sources: a crazy racist blog and the Iranian regime.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

an alleged skinhead.

It's not just an "alleged skinhead". First, it's registered to the wife of a known skinhead (and the article from eutimes that I posted proves this). Second, the articles are absolutely CRAZY.

Like I said.....if they are referenced out and validated. Then you got nothing to say. It could be the Worst racist jerk out there. But if he throws up the reference and its validated. Then that is legit.

Now any of his personal comments. Wouldn't be.

That's all there is with it.....;)

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

You consider a crazy racist blog citing the Iranian regime "referenced out and validated"?

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

LOL. My ribs hurt on that one. I can hear him now, "I never said we were going to attack anyone over chemical weapon use."

In the long run I don't trust Russia any further than I can spit a rat, so I don't take their argument that rebels were to blame as definitive.

The problem is that this alternative solution of disposing of Syria's WMDs would require even more trust in Russia than their story requires.

I didn't say it was.....but nice try anyways. I was talking about Referenced Sources and IF they have been validated.

The Methodology was explained to you. So that you aren't confused with the Issue going forward anymore and so that you cannot play on it with others.

In this thread, they were not. I think everyone agrees. Don't you?

If they aren't validated references.....then you have your answer. ;)

If we absolutely must bomb someone in Syria, they are as likely a target as Assad's forces. Picking a winning side in this thing, and that's what we intend, is a choice between Hezbollah or Al Quaeda - not literally, but pretty close.

Too close! So why are we suddenly being encouraged to treat Al Quaeda as allies? "With friends like this, who needs enemies?" Old English Proverb

I hear you. I don't trust the Russian's either. But then the Obama administration is packed from top to bottom and sideways with proven liars.

The world needs some adult leadership and it's not getting any from us right now.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

1400 people are dead from a gas attack. Those people are still dead whether the photos are faked, or not. We should not get mired in a discussion of who is actually the worst player in Syria.

True, we shouldn't get mired in it. But we shouldn't accuse president Assad of something that has not been substantiated.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

PressTV is a very poor source.. like Debka, WND.

That's not what H.R. Clinton says.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

PressTV is much worse than WND. At least WND is somehow related to something that probably actually happened in some way. Sure, they're both hate-based, but one is a totalitarian media outlet and the other is a group of demonization entertainers.

Rt is a Russian news service, like CNN is an American news service.
