I didn't go to West Point because I wanted to be in the real military, so I joined the Marines instead
those who study warfare in the age of Industrialization are a full generation behind the times - we are in the era of informatization, not industrialization.
I find it really entertaining that you have confused courses taken by cadets at West Point with actual expertise or experience in the subject matter under discussion. In the military second-lieutenants are looked upon the way they are for a reason. That being said, I
do happen to have a bit of a background knowledge on our weapons platforms (I'm a trained targeteer, qualified to perform System of System Analysis, Core Target Material production, Collateral Damage Estimation, Bomb Damage Assessment, and Weaponeering), and I would tend to suspect that Sherman is closer to correct than incorrect. The relative odds of that would depend not a little on our fidelity of any SA-20s in the region, and Syrian ability to employ them. CDCMs are not a counter to land-based B2's.
What is your background expertise?
