What do you think about the Egyptians offering the Russians a Military base inside Egypt? Do you the Russians went for the Saudi Deal over the Gas Sales to the EU?

I do not like Putin very much and think he is a destructive force in international politics. But I do not honestly believe he would risk the consequences of a strike at a US Ally and major oil supplier to the world economy for so little reason.

Putin's Russia can continue to play make believe and pretend that they remain a relevant country for reasons other than their nuclear stockpile. If Putin actually cared about Russia's well being, he'd do something about his country's corruption and drug abuse problems.

Actually, you have no way of knowing whether they were state sponsored. What we do know is that 19 hijackers attacked us on 9/11, 15 of them were Saudi nationals and we attacked A-Stan. Now just imagine if 19 hijackers attacked Saudi Arabia in similar fashion, 15 of the hijackers were Americans and Saudi Arabia responded by attacking Bolivia.

Wow! That sounds like a criticism you could make of any US president that has busied himself starting foreign wars while ignoring domestic problems.

According to Kremlin sources familiar with this extraordinary “war order,” Putin became “enraged” after his early August meeting with Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan who warned that if Russia did not accept the defeat of Syria, Saudi Arabia would unleash Chechen terrorists under their control to cause mass death and chaos during the Winter Olympics scheduled to be held 7-23 February 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

1. As if it needs to be said this is not true, this is not being planned, this will not happen.

2. If it did happen Russia would probably embarrass itself. It was barely able to successfully carry out an air supremacy and interdiction campaign over Georgia let alone crossing the breadth of the Middle East and engaging the RSAF and their air defense grid.

3. NEVER going to happen.

There are many links between the country of Saudi Arabia and terrorism but very few links to the government of Saudi Arabia and modern terrorist groups. Obviously Saudi Arabia is home to many would be terror recruits, leaders, and exhorting clerics. The Saudi government has no interest in seeing this continue or succeed and as a matter of self-preservation has been working assiduously to suppress them. Since the end of Arab Nationalism the greatest threat to the Kingdom has been from Islamists not Republicans.
 
I say thank you Russia. Saudi Arabia is a **** hole that needs to get blasted and that would only help us get off ME oil.

Heya Sherman.....plus it is not the first time they threatened them, back in June with Qatar was the First. Actually there were talks between the Saud and Putin. I think a deal was worked out.
