Tom Coburn: Obama 'Getting Perilously Close' To Standard For Impeachment

ummmm I'll take, "What is they are pure partisan hackery for 200, Alex?"

Now wait a minute here....Are you insinuating that only bills brought to the Senate by liberal progressives are worthy of consideration?

Yes because a Republicant controlled House and Senate REALLY held BushII to strict adherence to the Constitution...

LOL.

Bush. Bush. Bush.

Wake up from your nap. Bush hasn't been president for about five years now.

But it's least it's good to see you don't deny Obama's lawlessness.

I didn't insinuate a damn thing, the Cons spending 30 votes on repealing ACA is piss ignorant.

With this do-nothing House i'd settle for at least an appearance of addressing key issues...

The republicants are have a much better minority block under senate rules so little if any bills or for that matter cabinet nominees are successfully brought before the Senate.

Let us remember one whine the Cons have over ACA, they hold that according to the constitution bills must be passed by the House BEFORE the Senate can consider them.

Right now the Republicants in the House are busy with their own wee sh**ty rebellion. Boehner has all but conceded leadership in the House and now wants the Senate to lead the way... contrary to what his party decried over ACA....

Good morning, j-mac. :2wave:

It appears that way. What other explanation is there for Reid's decision to selectively decide what is even brought up for a vote or not, based on Party. That looks kinda partisan to me. Of course he has to be careful, because a lot of his own party members will jump ship if it means their jobs could be jeopardized. And the debt clock keeps on ticking while the games are being played.. .

"piss ignorant" is what those folks are doing that don't want to get rid of Obamacare.

The handwriting is clearly on the wall as to how bad a disaster Obamacare is and it has not even been fully implemented yet. Pretty ignorant to let it do maximum damage before getting rid of it.

Right this second there are 40 jobs bills passed by the House that Reid has tabled in the Senate. Cry all you want about the ACA votes. They pale in comparison to the inaction and absurdity of the Senate on "key issues".

Good morning, humbolt. :2wave:

This administration must be very pleased that we are not discussing "key issues," because those would give them problems! If they can keep us debating on issues other than jobs, the ever-growing debt, the shrinking of the middle class, millions on food stamps, and whether or not life is fair in general, blah, blah, blah, they consider their agenda successful. When important issues rear their ugly heads, there's always some other fluff issue to be thrown into the ring to distract people from what is important. Maybe they're right in their assumption that most are just too stupid to notice.

How does that saying go??? Something about those who forget history... they are usually covering their political lean's crap like a cat in a litter box!

It doesn't matter what you or I think qualifies as 'lawlessness'.... You can bet your Willard/Wonk in 2012 bumper sticker if there was ANY hint of an impeachable offense the 'Cants would be all over it like flies on poop.

It is just wolf whistling.

(FYI there is a wide gap between laws I'd like to see walked back and 'lawlessness' )

Agreed. We're forever discussing social issues these days. This is just like skipping dinner every night and moving directly to dessert. Might taste great, but it's not the stuff that's best suited for one's well-being. We all would love for race, gender, religion, and all other social problems to be solved as much as that's possible. It is more pressing, however, to address the first things - jobs, the economy, international tensions - the things only government can do - not the things we'd like for them to do that they probably can't, anyway. I've never known of a government that can change the nature of the human heart.

You will have to put the jobs part in quotes as few outside the Con lean saw them as that. That is like saying the 30 repeal votes passed and the Senate never took them up.

Boehner himself has flipped the script from what they pass to number they don't pass...

The same argument can be made from the opposing viewpoint. Few outside the liberal lean see the ACA as affordable at all, and care seems to be the last thing the legislation addresses.

Great post! Probably since man walked the earth, there have always been those who feel they deserve more than they have. Until recently, they usually buckled down and tried to change their circumstances as a matter of personal pride. Now it seems they expect the government to do the job for them, and since they still don't feel they have everything they feel they "deserve," they constantly demand more. What a crock! I guess that's their justification for stealing? Don't they ever stop to think that maybe most of us don't have everything we want either? This is total :bs: and it's disgusting!

As a non lawyer, I agree with Sen. Coburn...I think that Obama is doing things that long ago should have been considered for action. So my question is, why do you think that he can get away with some of the clear violations he has, when if we were talking of a republican violating the constitution in the same way the calls for impeachment would be loud and steady....
What violations?

Why thanks, Pol. We should, all of us, consider and choose very carefully what we truly want, and then pursue it. It's the knowledge and wisdom gained in the pursuit which is more often the most valuable in the end. In this I can speak from experience. Our culture has become incredibly shallow and we act more and more like children fighting over toys every day. Getting the most while offering the least is not a wise course.

Out till later. :2wave: Need :coffeepap: and my house needs tidied up.

Be well.

This question is for the historians out there: Is this how other great civilizations withered and died?

The list so far contained zero actual violations. They just look like violations if you're a partisan hack and don't question what you read.

This is more crap.

I suspect we will hear "impeachment" from people of "the other side" during every President's term from here on out.

It is seriously getting stupid.

You being a totally unbiased observer of public opinion and all.... ;)

Pointing your finger and calling me names isn't helping your defense. That list gives good reason to suspect violations. In light of what's below, one should be suspicious every word or action taken by Barack Obama.

President Obama’s top 10 constitutional violations | The Daily Caller

Except they mischaracterize or misattribute everything on that list. Do your own freaking research instead of letting blogs and tabloids compile a list for you. Pick an issue, get the details, and explain why you think it's worthy of impeachment, and maybe you'll get a real discussion out of it. Copy/pasting crap from other people is just lazy, and I'm not going to spend all day debunking the same old bull**** from the same old biased sources.

Can you show me some of your research on this?

Can you some of your own research on this?

It takes me a lot longer to research and debunk every itemized list that you just copy/paste from someone else.

So no. I am not going to do that. I will put as much effort into this as you do, but not more.

No more or less so than you. You could resort to the polls, if you believe they aren't biased. They say they aren't.

Or you could.... while public opinion can be shaped the proof will be in the full implementation. I don't know what some are basing the increase on.... seems like highly biased opinion and a good smattering of fear mongering.

But back on topic... nobody is going to start impeachment on the President. IF the House was going to jump they would have already done so.... Sen. Coburn is just snarling because he knows that dawg won't hunt...
