Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' in AZ [W:161]

Re: Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' in AZ

The democratic party has moved on with the times but has not changed much since the Clinton years, unlike the republican party of which parts have moved so far away from the center that if they do not change their ways they will keep loosing big elections they have not been able to gerrymander. Or worse, have taken steps to make sure that as many democratic voters as possible are disenfranchised.

The Democratic party is regressing.

Re: Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' in AZ

Yeah, keep dreaming that it all white people's fault.

Cannot remember stating that, but guess what, it surely wasn't the Black people in the South that caused segregation and injustice. Everybody has faults and there are black racists as well as white racists and that too is wrong.

When did I say anything about segregation? You just couldn't help yourself! Could you? :lamo

Nope . . . no matter how hard I try to learn something from you . . . all I do is laugh. My apologies, because I know you're trying.

Congratulation, you have won a free Obama phone for defending an incompetent Commander and Chief who after 4 1/2 years still hasn't earned the respect of those who serve under his incompetent command.

Re: Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' in AZ

The Democrat Party is no longer what's best for America, and the majority of Americans but what's best for the Democrat Party and what's best for a minority of Americans.

And with this single sentence you deftly identify why the RNC has lost the last two elections and is well on its way to losing the next two.

Re: Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' in AZ

First of all, I was talking about political divisions. Racial divisive?

Fact is, the leftists don't have to do anything to feed racial divisions, the republican party does that all for them. The leftists just have to point it out and they don't have to look hard for examples.

Judging the group by the minority is a common trait of racist think.

You're correct though, the extreme minority of white racists have a much larger impact on race relations than the president of the united states, who constantly butts into racially charged issues, often parroting the emotional and reactionary responses of those who wish to see racism around every corner.

America lost the last two elections.

NO #### !

The photo shows U.S. Marines with M-14 rifles with no bolts !

Just before I was discharged I was with the 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade stationed at Camp Pendleton. Our company commander volunteered our company for riot control duty at Nixon's Summer White House in San Clemente which is a few minutes walk from the Camp Pendleton fence.

Nobody removed our bolts from our M-14's. We were told we would not be issued live ammunition but we still had our bayonets. Nothing happened, the anti war protesters didn't even get close since it was a gated community.

Seems that Tricky Dick had no problems with Marines being outside of his home with M-14's fully operable.

BTW: When we were told we wouldn't be issued live ammunition, this one S/Sgt. that night drove in to Oceanside to purchase a few boxes of .308 Winchester hollow points. Something about shooting hippies.

If your right, this is bad news for America.

But I have faith in most Americans and after eight years of Obama's failures, mistrust of those who wear the uniform, Al Qaeda running all over the Middle East and North Africa, the politicizing of the IRS, NSA spying on Americans and lies about Benghazi and eight years of Obama blaming Bush for all of his (Obama) failures, the American people will be sick of Obama and liberal policies of the Democrat Party.

The only "hope" the Democrats have and it's a slim chance that by 2016 that the majority of Americans have a monkey on their backs and have become addicted to all of the free stuff that Democrats give away for their votes.

Re: Obama Protesters Sing 'Bye Bye Black Sheep,' in AZ

you talked about it not only being down to the white people. Well, slavery was down to the white people, the KKK was down to the white people, lynchings were down to the white people, segregation and the oppression of blacks was down to the whites.

Sorry to say it, but racism is a very white thing. Yes, it also exists in blacks, Asians and Hispanics but in the US racism was very much a white thing and the last vestiges of that racism was segregation.

And in this day and age some republican states/republicans are doing their best to repress the vote from democrats (of which a huge number is black or hispanic). It was not for nothing that for decades Southern states had to ask if they wanted to change voting laws. That was until the supreme court thought that it was no longer necessary, sadly they were wrong because it took, for example, Texas 2 hours to start making voting laws that disenfranchises voters, a lot of them black or hispanic. And they were not the only states who took similar actions.

And you may not feel these laws and actions are racist, I do not know if you do or not, but I am pretty sure that black voters will think very differently.

And, you took that as some twisted license to jump on it like a duck on a june bug, too. Awesome job of proving my point, though.

Well, as an African American he has a bit more feeling with these kinds of issues. And where most white people do not see racism, does not mean that blacks do not see racism on a regular basis. People who do not suffer racism are not as likely to feel racism. And right or not, the word racial profiling is around and happens. While it may not be representative of all things, this week on (I think it was) the Daily Show, 5 white people and 5 black people where asked the same questions. The white people thought racism is mostly gone, black people saw that very differently. The white people were asked if they had ever been stopped and frisked, 4 said no, 1 said yes but on the airport when taking a plane. The black people where asked the same question and 4 out of 5 said they had been stopped and frisked and the only one who wasn't just moved to New York.

Racism is not a real problem if you are white. Your voting rights are not meddled with. You have a better chance at getting a job. You are mostly treated better by the police and the odds of being racially profiled if you are white is not that large. Being racially discriminated, whether they feel it unjustly or justly is mostly felt by those who get racially discriminated against.

Yes, I took that as a license to say that in the US it is historically down to white people to perpetrate racism. Not trying to be rotten or insulting but relaying the historical facts.

Now the US has improved markedly since those days but sadly for a lot of people the change has not been radical enough (and those people would be those people that still feel discriminated against).

The Daily Show is a comedy show. They're not making real points, they're trying to be funny. The focus group was likely set up for that outcome. That's, uh, kind of how comedy works.

Racism is not a real problem if you are white.

Tell that to white people in predominantly black and/or hispanic neighborhoods. You're ignorant.

Your voting rights are not meddled with.

Having to show an ID to vote is not meddling with your voting rights, sorry.

You have a better chance at getting a job. You are mostly treated better by the police and the odds of being racially profiled if you are white is not that large. Being racially discriminated, whether they feel it unjustly or justly is mostly felt by those who get racially discriminated against.

Yes, I've seen the skit thanks.

I hate to inform you, but comedy is often staged. For example, the lady wasn't REALLY sweating that much. That was scripted. The "focus groups" were either actors (the most likely case) or selected for that outcome, because if they didn't say those things, the comedy would be ruined. If it wasn't funny, it would be a waste of time, because the goal is, again, to be funny, not to make a real point.

A 2011 USA today poll asked:

"Do you think new civil rights laws are needed to reduce discrimination against blacks, or not?"

All answered:

Are needed 21 %
Are not needed 76 %
Unsure 2 %

But when looking at race it was a lot different:

Whites respondents only:
Are needed 15 %
Are not needed 83 %
Unsure 3 %

Black respondents only:
Are needed 52 %
Are not needed 48 %
Unsure 1 %

When asked about interracial marriages:

86% of all respondents approved, 11% disapproved and 3% where unsure.

Of the black respondents only 2% disapproved whereas 14% of the white respondents disapproved. Now that is a lot better than in 1994 when only 48% approved.

You can find this poll on Pollingreport.

Like it or not, blacks and whites often see this racial issue differently. That is not because white people do this on purpose but if you are not the victim of discrimination you will see that issue a lot different then when you regularly are the victim of said discrimination.

Sadly most of those people don't want discrimination to go away and will never let it go away and they're all Libbos.

And please understand, I am not saying that a lot of white people in this day and age are racist. What I am saying is that white people feel differently about this issue than blacks, that is not down to not giving a you know what, it is that they do not know how it is to be black in America today. A lot of things have gotten better for blacks but a lot of things are still worse for blacks than for the majority of whites.

That has nothing to do with malice or lack of caring on the part of the whites but on not understand what blacks truly feel/have to live with.

Libbos don't want blacks to ever feel tht they're not being oppressed. I'm sure that most Libbos screeched at seeing 48% of blacks saying that civil rights laws aren't needed.

I know exactly what it's like being black in America.

Sorry, I do not believe that. Liberals have nothing to fear from blacks/hispanics/asians and republican fear them so much that they work very hard to make sure as few of them as possible get to vote. Texas and other states are proving that right now.

Again, you're proving me point. Republicans have nothing to fear from minorities. What Libbos have to fear, is that minorities figure out that the Democrats are doing more to keep them in the poor house than to keep them out of the poor house.

Yes, that is what the republicans would love to make people believe but the facts are that it is the republican party that is trying to limit the numbers of blacks voting, not the liberals.

I know exactly what it's like being black in America.

Well, that can be. But do you know how every black American feels? Polls prove that a lot of black Americans do feel discriminated against.

Ah! There it is! :lamo

You know that when you post that crap, you prove me right?

NOBODY is trying to keep blacks from voting, dude. Git real!
