How would the American Revolutionary War have turned out if France had not helped our forefathers?

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

It's because there is **** that needs to get done, and they aren't doing their job to the best of their abilities. They get paid too much to just stand around and **** off all day, but they will if they're left unsupervised. They even complain that 17 dollars an hour isn't enough, and that they should be paid more, while they have to be told constantly to work. That's a ****ty work ethic. That's the ethic of American entitlement, and I've had to hear it since I was 15, when I got my first job. There is a very good reason why I'm a supervisor, and they're still ground level.
It is pretty much the same at the plant I work in, except we are getting 25+ an hour.

I think you're putting the cart before the horse. France has been a country of luxury for such a long time, perhaps it is causing the French to not take their work nearly as seriously. It remains to be seen if and how long they can continue to remain wealthy without making serious reforms to their entitlements and excessively prohibitive labor laws. But my guess would be with the rise of Asia as the dominant economic center of the world puts the standards of living of countries like France at risk, even more so if they are slow to adapt.

Me personally? Depends. I average about 60-70 hours. They can work up to 80 hours if they absolutely have to, but that's when the big boss comes out, and nobody will be happy then.

You must be reading an entirely different conversation. I stated my opinion about the poor condition of the American work ethic, you got butthurt and made it all about you.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

The conversation started out with your comments being about you and me responding to them. That right there would be where you made it about me.

I saw it, and apdst was 100% correct. I said "They sound just like the American working class." clearly stating my opinion on the laziness and arrogance of today's American worker. (Which is not making anything about me in the least) You responded with:

    Speak for yourself.

    TED,
    Working class American.
as though you represent the working class in its entirety. Then I stated that my opinion comes from being a supervisor, because work ethic is very important to me. It means the difference between success and not having a job once the contract is up. Then you said I suck as a supervisor, which perfectly embodied the crap attitude I was talking about (arrogance and laziness), and then you continued to make it about you by talking about your work ethic, then in the same post said I suck as a supervisor again. The emotional response was clearly there, and you were clearly making it all about you the entire time.

Of course I don't, but the simplest way to make someone painting with as broad a brush as you did look foolish is to provide a reasonable counter-example.

No, actually, that's not what I said. Go back and read it again. Quote it, in fact.

Right, like I said, that's where you made it about me. I didn't assume anything.

Relevant to the discussion, as per the above.

Nope. Read it again, or better yet quote it.

I don't think America in general are as lazy as the French but we are catching up to the French real quick.

Any nation that's too lazy to fight it's own wars overseas and has to create a legion of foreign soldiers to fight their wars has become lazy.

With Blackwater USA, it shows we are following in the same path as the French.

BTW, who cuts the lawns in France and who are the nannies raising these lazy French children ?
