no need to let American citizens in those locales know that they are on their own when/if the shiia hits the fan

    The locations have been released:

US to temporarily shut down embassies around the world Sunday amid security concerns | Fox News

If anyone is dumb enough to go to those places at a time like this, they're idiots who are just begging for trouble.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

ok. when i expressed the opinion that the locations of these closed facilities should be made known you insisted that they should not

many of the affected American citizens could have already made unmodifiable travel plans or they may already be in country without a means to leave. don't see that as begging for trouble. do see that as your posts being critical of that which you do not understand

And I don't think they should. I don't believe this information should have released at all.

Yes, travel through the most volatile region in the world right now, where civil wars are spreading like wildfires, we're at war, at they cut people's off for not prostrating to their crazy ideologies. That sounds like a lot of fun. You know what? You're right, I should take the whole family to Syria. Maybe have a business lunch in Egypt, or show the new boss the sites in Pakistan. It'll be a jolly good time.

Yes, but the fun part is figuring out what those things are they are distracting from.

Well, the latest developments indicate there is a "specific" threat although why this would affect just one day, specifically Sunday, is kind of strange.

I think you'll see more and more of this coming soon. The USG has been exposed as an intrusive government and now they need to convince the doubters, such as you and me, that it is good to be monitored for "our safety".

I already see a lot of anti-Snowden pro-spying on this board. They just have to convince enough people that Snowden is the bad guy with the black hat and that your government loves you and is just trying to keep you safe and warm.

After all, if you're not doing anything wrong, you should welcome the intrusion (sarcasm alert).
