Yes it is; those two minutes make a world of difference. I would also add this prayer should be done outside of the governments' premises.

Freedom means to be unencumbered by the government. If the government is restricting their ability to worship or pray in any way, I don't care what you say... that makes them less free.

The endorsement is not against the Constitution either. Just saying.

Your freedom of religion stops at the governments' door.

So there is nothing wrong with endorsing a religion. Good, then nothing wrong with what the county was doing. Move on.

Why? Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion.

Seriously. Unless you're praying to some evil spirit who wants you to kill the people you're supposed to be protecting, what's the big deal?
You proved the necessity of this sort of restriction in this very post. In this very post, you started deciding which religious prayers are ok and which ones aren't. The government doesn't get to do that.

So you'd be ok with Congress opening a session with a prayer to Allah? Because I sure wouldn't. Those books shouldn't be influencing our laws any more than yours.

Yes, I would be fine with that as long as it wasn't a prayer calling for evil. I'm okay with prayers to any deity as long as it's a peaceful prayer.
