Boston —
A West Roxbury man was arraigned Monday at Boston Municipal Court on charges stemming from his arrest outside of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s Beacon Hill home yesterday afternoon, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Vladimir Romanov, 29, of West Roxbury, was released on his own recognizance on a charge of public drinking outside of Kerry’s 19 Louisburg Square house, the DA said. However, at the request of Assistant District Attorney Neil Flynn, Judge Debra Shopteese revoked Romanov’s bail on an open assault with a dangerous weapon charge out of Quincy District Court and ordered him held on a warrant sought by probation officers for allegedly violating the terms of his probation on a drunken driving case, the DA said.
Officers searched the vehicle and saw a pellet gun clearly visible, along with three cell phones, a TomTom Navigation system, a black canvas bag containing several CO2 cartridges and an open container of alcohol, police said. All of the items were seized as evidence, police said.
Romanov’s next court date is Sept. 25, the DA said.
