He wasn't arrested though for taking pictures. He was arrested for the pellet gun and open alcohol container.

The police were called because the man was taking pictures of the house (since he is a high profile politician), however, he was arrested for other things.

Yes, pretty much if you are stopped on the road taking pictures of a house and a cop sees you they will probably take a glance. When they see your open alcohol container you are then going to get arrested. Sometime around there they may find your pellet gun and depending on state law having one of those loaded in a vehicle is like having a firearm loaded in your vehicle. In some states things like that are suppoased to be stored unloaded and as you would with a firearm when you have them in a car. It is just even more stupid that the guy is doing this outside of a big government official's house where there is likely to be police officers.

The guy is drinking and driving and should be arrested for such things.
Heya TR. Well the one Problem I seen was the Boston news making a big deal about this guy was armed.....with a Pellet gun. That it seemed they wanted to embellish on that moreso. Despite Kerry not even being around.

As truthfully even some Kids hanging out on the corner would be considered suspicious by Secret Service. Same deal if they saw some guy going thru the garbage looking for cans and bottles.

So? Kerry is a public figure and as such there is an expectation of not only him being photographed but also of his home, family and even friends being photographed. Him being the Sec. of State is irrelevent as far as being photographed goes.

Something isn't right here. Who, in their right mind would want a picture of Kerry or his house?

The article the OP posted was exaggerated. He wasn't arrested for taking photographs or even having a pellet gun in his trunk. He was arrested for having an open container of alcohol. All that other crap was just sensationalism, irrelevent for what actually happened.

Who in thier right mind wants photographs of Obama? Oh right, anyone that wants pictures of what amounts to celebrities. People want even the most hated celebrities pictures.

People are strange creatures at times.

Here is the Update Mak.....I also doubt the Boston Globe is a Right Wing Blogosphere. Might want to look that up first next time. I know how it is easy to cross those Sources out there Nowadays. Btw here is pic too.

    Boston —

A West Roxbury man was arraigned Monday at Boston Municipal Court on charges stemming from his arrest outside of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s Beacon Hill home yesterday afternoon, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Vladimir Romanov, 29, of West Roxbury, was released on his own recognizance on a charge of public drinking outside of Kerry’s 19 Louisburg Square house, the DA said. However, at the request of Assistant District Attorney Neil Flynn, Judge Debra Shopteese revoked Romanov’s bail on an open assault with a dangerous weapon charge out of Quincy District Court and ordered him held on a warrant sought by probation officers for allegedly violating the terms of his probation on a drunken driving case, the DA said.

Officers searched the vehicle and saw a pellet gun clearly visible, along with three cell phones, a TomTom Navigation system, a black canvas bag containing several CO2 cartridges and an open container of alcohol, police said. All of the items were seized as evidence, police said.

Romanov’s next court date is Sept. 25, the DA said.
