Sarah Palin considering Senate Run

Considering that she quit being Governor at the wrong time, that's true in more ways than one.

Funny how people complain about Palin resigning as Governor, not completing her term, but never complain about other politicians, let's say Obama and Clinton, who decided to move on before the term of office they ran for was completed.

And as I recall, Palin resigning saved the State of Alaska untold expense trying to defend herself against a rabid Democrat and left wing attack machine that tried desparately to destroy her because she was too popular and didn't take crap from them.

If there was a point, I missed it.

Actually, mine is a generic question referring to any lengthy post. I simply do not know how to separate the post into parts.

Unfortunately, however, the Senate is full of people that only a dumbass would vote for.

Never underestimate the sheer dumbness of the American voter.

Imagine that .....and here we said the same thing about Obama as a Illinois State Senator. Talk about one of the most useless Illinois Politicians that had ever come along. Even the Democrats around here didn't have much to do with him.

Course when looking at Illinois.....we never underestimate the sheer dumbness of our Voters. Especially in Chicago.

My apologies - I didn't realize that a three sentence post, pretty concise and to the point, was beyond the ability of some to respond in a cogent fashion. Not sure what I can do about it, since becoming illiterate or nonsensical isn't an option for me. My suggestion would be to simply skip on by my posts and ignore them in future.

Some people just take a long time to realize how irrelevant they have become. A very long time.

It goes with the job. She couldn't take the heat so she left the kitchen.

it's kind of like elliot spitzer quitting in the middle of his term as govenor of new york. except it was a affair with a prostitute that brought down spitzer, palin had no such scandel and no reason to step down.

Heya CJ :2wave: Actually I think Sarah just wanted to make the sweat break out Begbitch and Good OL Harry's Foreheads. Especially with those Demo Senators seats ready to fall off the edge. You know.....the reason Obama is pulling back on his signature legislation. So they at least have a chance to hold their seats. ;)

I'll try again. I'm not posting about palin, never would. I saw your post and needed to ask a question about how to separate any old post on "another" thread into smaller parts. Can you help?

Take the ["/QUOTE"] and move it to where you'd like to cut off a quote. Similarly, you can begin a ["QUOTE"] with this. In both instances leave out the quotation marks...

i hope the misspelling of mark begichs name was a accident on your part.

in all seriousness, what exactly has mark begich done to earn the wrath of Alaskan voters? i am unfamiliar with local Alaskan politics so i don't know what issues voters care about in the state. as far as i know about mark Begich is that he is a good campaigner and fundraiser, and he has name recognition because he is the brother of the late Alaskan congressman Nick Begich, who disappeared along with house majority leader Hale Boggs while flying in Alaska back in 1973.

by the by i was wondering about your oppinion about the 2014 senate races. send me a Private message if you want to hear my two cents on the matter.

Thanks AP.

I can think of far less qualified and engaging people who run for office - one recently made it to the White House. Good for her - no one should ever be criticized for running for public office, putting themselves on the line, and particularly someone who has great success in other fields. Those people criticizing her are likely ones whose only public service is bitching on online forums.

I'm not criticizing her. I'm hoping that she does run.

Well, there is Jesse Jackson, which even Blago isn't that pathetic.....just sayin! :lamo

Didn't G. Ryan sell licenses to illegals as Sec'y of State, one of whom killed a lily-white family of 6 in a Milwaukee traffic accident? Everyone involved in creating the pension crisis should be drawing your wrath.

What would it matter.....if it wasn't? Exactly campaigner and fundraiser. Pretty much says it Right there. Scam artist.....con-man! Course that Con.....don't stand for Conservative.

Why would I need a Pm

.....start a thread on the Senate Races. Unless there is something else upon your mind that would require my personal interest, wherein if that is the case. U know where to take it. ;)

When a politician moves to a higher office, that's one thing. They do that all the time. When they quit to be on TV, that's different...

I know the line about the left-wing attack machine, but I don't buy it. Other politicians are routinely attacked by the other side. Think there's no frivolous right-wing lawsuits against Obama? Of course there are. What would you be saying if he resigned the Presidency to be a highly paid lobbyist? It was a BS political reason.

It's not like getting elected to Senate is a place to keep a low profile either. She couldn't take the heat of a high national profile, yet she craves the spotlight of it.

You can check you posts or threads you started on your CP. Then bump up your thread. :)

I don't know if it was Illegals.....but I do know it had to do with Unqualified Trucker Licenses. CDL's which Ryan was convicted of giving out bribes. Still Ryan didn't cause the Trucker to do what he did.

Yet.....then we had two other Democratic Governors get into the bribery game just like their counterparts in Chicago. Course then there was Dan Walker who just decided he could write Checks to himself from a Saving a loans he was part of.

Otto Kerner, Jr. (D), governor from 1961 to 1968; Stratton's successor and later a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, was convicted of 17 counts of bribery, conspiracy, perjury, and income-tax charges from his time as governor,[6] and received three years in prison and a $50,000 fine in 1973. He was prosecuted by future Illinois governor Jim Thompson.[6]

Daniel Walker (D), governor from 1973 to 1977, was later involved in the savings and loan scandals and convicted of federal crimes related to fraudulent loans to himself from his own First American Savings & Loan Association of Oak Brook. He was sentenced to seven years in prison with five years of probation following his release.[7]

Then Blago. ;)

Rod Blagojevich (D), governor from 2003 to 2009, and Ryan's successor, was impeached and removed from office by the Illinois General Assembly in a unanimous vote in January 2009 after being tied to multiple "pay to play" schemes, including attempting to sell the former Senate seat of recently elected President Barack Obama.[1] In August 2010, he was convicted of lying to the FBI in connection with the investigation, but the jury deadlocked on 23 other charges.[9] Blagojevich was retried on 20 counts from his 2010 trial and on June 27, 2011, Blagojevich was convicted on 17 counts of fraud, acquitted on one count and the jury was hung on two. On December 7, 2011, Blagojevich was sentenced to 14 years in prison......snip~
