He fled Damascus to avoid persecution. Snowden fled US to avoid persecution.

And I don't understand your point on Einstein. Yes, he was an enemy of Third Reich. The US govt considers Snowden an enemy too.

He revealed classified information, which is bad bough in itself.
I guess you think revealing the Pentagon Papers was bad too? No one but the govt was harmed by the revelation of this information... not that we didn't already know this stuff was going on.

    Then he defected to Venezuela.
I know he was offered asylum from Venezuela, but I think he's still in Moscow. Anyways, he doesn't have many options since US took away his visa. Also, US has made economic threats against others.

He did no favors to anybody. If something is supposedly unconstitutional there are proper channels through rule of law to deal with it, and whether it was constitutional or not is by no means certain. It was perfectly legally legitimate.
I am surprised at you Guy. Normally I completely agree with you, especially your positions on taxation. But you are completely off here. The NSA program was a clear violation of the Fourth Amendment. That is not even debatable amongst libertarians.

It's not like Snowden was doing something heroic like standing up to real human rights violations like torture. He betrayed top secret information that caused grave harm to national security over misguided concerns about antiquated notions of privacy.
You are spouting govt propaganda here. No harm was caused to the American people through him confirming what was already known.

Invasion of privacy, bah! Talk about champagne problems.
A libertarian defending the Patriot Act. Talk about an oxymoron.

So I assume none of the Founding Fathers were an inspiration to you? (Not that you would admit it now)

I have always been very frank about how I feel about the founders.

Well, I have not read every post you have ever written. Please explain.

And what libertarians inspired you, my friend?

No, you are wrong. These searches were all pursuant to lawful warrants.

    no evidence?
Leaking classified security information is per se harm to national interests.

Proof? I have read otherwise. Are these warrants granted by the secret courts as described under the Patriot Act?

Yeah, thats what the government is saying a lot. With no proof of harm.

That's ok, nobody's perfect. As i have stated many times before, I despise the founders as slave holding, oath breaking plutocrats.
And what libertarians inspired you, my friend?
Rothbard, hayek, nozick, Heinlein, to name a few. Also Jesus, the greatest libertarian of them all.
