Ted Nugent: I Might Run for President

his support for the drug war would doom him out of the gate.. as would his hawkish nature on immigration... his cop worship wouldn't go over very well either... his support for interventionist policies would fall flat.

it's possible he could shoot for the LP nomination... he won't get it though, not a chance in hell.

he'd run as a Republican.

he could run as a Democrat, but his 2nd amendment support would doom him there.

I'm sure a lot of people said the same thing about Bob Barr. He was the Anti-Drug Coordinator for the DoJ, even helped create anti-drug legislation. He sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act, voted for the PATRIOT Act, voted for the war in Iraq, voted to ban Wicca as a practiced religion in the Military, and other crap that is antithetical to the Libertarian Party, but then he conveniently flipped around the 2008 election, got the Libertarian nomination, lost, and now has an R by his name again.

I don't see why Nugent wouldn't be able to do the same.

He doesn't have a Democrat bone in his body, not by today's standards, anyway.

Bob Barr's nomination angered me... for the reasons cited.

I don't see Ted flip flopping to the degree Bob did... I don't think he has it in him to do so.

i'm not sure why y'all think a died in the wool Republican should run as a Libertarian.. but its a lil' weird.

I think he should stay as far away from the Presidency as possible. I just wouldn't be surprised if he chose to run as a Libertarian. I just don't see the GOP taking another huge risk like they did with Romney.

usually the ones that the left either demonizes the most are the ones who have the best chances of winning,while the ones they keep clqiming as having the best chances of winning usually have the worst,republicans do the same,they kept pushing hillary in 08 knowing she would lose while they couldnt beat obama because had had almost no record to attack then except present.
